I did NOT ban him for this reason.
Proctor has been given many temporary bans in the past, and then to the astonishment of other Mods, he would return and either make an entirely inappropriate comment to other forum members in the open forums or he would start anti-Mod threads or even change his icons and signatures to make anti-Mod statements. Most recently I warned him about making uninformed and biased comments on the threads about Cameras... something he was regularly doing in the past. He continued to make snide remarks and then changed his signature iCon to one designed to offend those who didn't agree with him. After receiving MANY complaints from other forum members, it was decided to make Proctors ban permenent. One of Proctor's problems is that whilst making certain comments in the Forums, he would then make very different comments to (edit *other). eg: he would speak highly of Mods in the public forums but would make anti-Mod comments to (edit *other). This is unacceptable and an example of poor communication. It was also done to try to get himself elected as a mod. But since Moderator Status must be approved by other Mods beforehand, there's no way he could have become a mod whilst openly being hostile towards them.

As usual, he is claiming to have done no wrong. His biggest complaint in the Forums has been that he believes he should be a Moderator. But his bullying tactics and less than mature personality ensure that this can never happen. (large portion edited out) His behavior in the Forums turned quite nasty when he found that his request was not met and it served to prove that he would have been too much of a Bully to have made a good Mod. Already he is complaining to you and to others on the forum privately. He cannot accept that his opinions mean little here or elsewhere. Perhaps when he is older, his maturity will have more impact on his behavior.

As for Cameras, I seem to recall that he once wrote and asked for Advice on which camera to buy. I advised him on a Canon package but the salesman talked him into a Nikon. He hated his new camera and even referred to it as "A piece of sh*t". But later, he became Pro-Nikon and quoted outdated and biased reviews to support his biased and skewed opinions in an attempt to offend and aggrivate others on the forums here. Speciaifally, he would contradict anything I wrote when possible.

But I don't act for personal reasons... I never do when it comes to the Forums. But I do archive the stupid and rude or offensive things that he does which are then send to (edit *other) to serve as an example. Proctor's biggest mistake is that he sends VERY offensive and snide remarks to other forum members who in turn forward their complaints to me. When a complaint is genuinely warranted or when I get more than one complaint about Proctor, I respond with either a warning or a temporary ban. In the past I have actually supported him and even spoken to (edit *other) to allow his ban to be lifted or to explain his strange behavior. But I have no further patience for this stupidity any more. Proctor was WARNED about pressing the wrong buttons but he went and did so in a manner designed to specifically annoy Mods and specifically to annoy me. It did not annoy me but an example had to be made when others complained about his Nikon Vs Canon stance as per his signature. Complaints (if warranted) are sent to Admin. I think there's nothing he can say or do to defend himself anymore because (paragraph edited) and I am sick of warning him about his behavior. Hence the permement Ban. I've now had complaints about his comments to others under the "Anna" name. He'll be banned again soon enough and his ISP blocked if he continues to do so. He has nobody to blame but himself. And this is why he is no longer welcome in the Forum.

I temp-banned Timelord after expletives OR rascist comments in one of his threads upset a number of members who alerted me to it. But I note that I messaged the other mods and instructed them to lift the ban after a couple of days which i believe they did. I believe that a 3 day ban was fair and way lenient. I liked Timelord and his posts so I felt that an example should be made for others because proctor at the same time as this took place was complaining that the Mods were being too soft. imply
