random question...

ok, this is what i want to do:

1. buy dx sku 15477, open it and waterproof it using rtv silicone,
and
2. build a solar charger(usb) for it so i can take it backpacking and wont need to bring battries

i am going to use an AnyVolt micro to make sure i don't under power it, do you think a flexdrive would work to keep the current stable?  am i missing anything here?

How do you plan on waterproofing it?

I'm assuming the speaker cones are made of paper... If you were to coat them in silicone I'm not sure they'd make sound anymore.

Anyways, I'd look at using a MintyBoost to charge it... Seems like it'd be the perfect solution.

if i wanted to bring batteries it takes 2 aas, but solar is so much cooler  


i tested waterproofing an old speaker i had and it works just fine
