It's 10:17 at night, and I should be asleep by now. But I'm not. Instead, I'm listening to Tool and posting this crap. Here's some random stuff about me. Post some about yourself, too. (Hey, this is the off-topic forum!)

-I love science.
-Yeah, I've got high-waters...
-I don't even have a cell phone. Why would I need one?
-I wouldn't know cool if it punched me in the face.
-I don't have a girlfriend (not that I want one either, my money goes to LASERS!)
-I have a paper route.
-I do well in school.
-I like math and science more than English and history. That's the main thing that sets nerds apart from geeks (at least in my mind.)
-I don't care what somebody else thinks of how I dress/act/talk/climb/firemahlazor/whatever.
-I am not addicted to tech crap.
-I think tech crap is (mostly) a waste of money.
-I drink tea.
-I have a lot of pets.
-I have pale skin like a vampire.
-Finances and economics bore the crap out of me. So does law.
-I am no good with circuits or soldering.
-I like music. But not what you listen to.
-I have 3 geckos, a dog, 2 cats, a colony of cockroaches, and 2 birds.
-I am an amateur photographer.
-I am a paperboy.
-I like sleep.
-I like video games.
-I like lasers.
-I think that mountaineering is awesome.
-I am an enviro-freak.
-I love to break glass.
-I have a website that should be worth something, but probably isn't.
-I can make candles pretty well.
-I hate manual labor.
-I hate work overall.
-I eat ridiculous amounts of candy.
-I'm really skinny.
-I'm 5'9 and 120.
-I'm 16.
-I love prank calling people, but I'm running out of numbers.
-I read a lot.

So, post your own. I'm going to go not sleep.

LOL, true story: just now, the movie "Liar Liar" just came on TV on the station I was already watching.  Having just written the words "liar, liar" in this thread minutes ago, I laughed.

Well here's my calculations. Dinner for 2: $30. Movie for 2: $20. That makes for $50 a date. Assuming I'm not extremely cheap and I do 3 dates a month, that's my entire budget from being a paperboy! $150 a month...

Well, instead, I just spent $140 on a combination of laser parts and mountaineering gear. Ahh, the joys of being single...

You can go on a date without spending a penny.

Not that I do it, but it is possible.

Umm... My girlfriend has bought me: (2) 6X sleds, a couple of Rckstr drivers, a few Lava drivers, a 5mW greenie, a 50mW greenie, a 120mW Rckstr driven PHR, an LPC-813, a couple of nice hosts, 5 of daguin's 635nm's, some cheap keychain laser pointers, and oh yeah... a 7x12 mini lathe!, all within the past 4 months too. All she wants in return is lingerie, and that's worth buying.

It's ok boys, you're young. Just stay away from the gold diggers.

I still say he's lying. And you're quite lucky to have a person who will actually go out and buy all that stuff for you. My wife will just say "ok, you buy that, and I get to go shopping for myself as well", so it's basically the same trade-off. But I'm a very frugal person anyway, and very slow and deliberate when planning and gathering parts for projects, so I never have big purchases really.

No silver spoon here, but I worked my butt off to get through college, and basically graduated with $500 in my pocket and not a dollar in debt. And now they're paying me to go to grad school.

Nowadays, it's very doable. It's actually interesting, you can get out with zero debt it you're very rich, or very poor. You're rich, and you've got the money. And the poorer you are, the more scholarships/grants you can get. The middle class is where the people are who are graduating with debt from undergraduate. The people building debt in graduate school are just in the wrong field.

Up here in Canada, there are probably about 100 or so universities. Scholarships and grants aren't thrown out to the masses either, it takes fairly high marks to get them.

TBH, I'd probably be drowned in debt right now if it wasn't for my insommnia(allows me to work fulltime nightshift).

FICTION

The U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln resides 10 miles from me- my dad served with the U.S.S. Shoup and the U.S.S. Ford, both working together with the Lincoln. And no navy commander over there has EVER been that stupid- although it's a pretty funny JOKE.

@Diachi- You sound a lot like me! We should hang out sometime- oh wait, you're in Germany. Never mind.
