I'm not sure what the geiger counter is registering but it looks nasty.

Some old watches had GITD numbers, dots or needles, or, rarely, the whole plate) that was "charged" with radium, usually one part of radium for 14 millions parts of phosphorous paint ..... it can seem a low quantity, but radium is one of the most radioactive materials, after all.

This reminds me to my Army-Time. We did build this Bridges and the last thing to do was set some Cat-eyes to mark the borders of the Bridge. I did that once and afterwards my Hands where burning so i ask around what the hell that was. My second lieutenant just ment this is the radioactivity from those Cat-eyes. The Bridge is a 1969 construktion. I was very angry, no warnings nothing.
