Who ever voted for the Deerlight...please tell your reason why you would want that one over the Tiablo A9.

I was leaning towards the Tiablo, but if you can tell me your reasoning...then I might not get it. :)

Thanks

I chose the Tiablo A9 because it appears to have a superior reflector, and I also like the fact that it only has High/Low settings and no memory.

The smooth reflector of the Dereelight-DBS V2 gives very good throw, but if you choose it, expect to deal with a lot of artefacts. I rarely buy ones with smooth reflectors.

Both are very good flash lights.

Thanks for your input Jaseth. Much appreciated.

The reflector is much more superior for the Tiablo. :)

The main thing that drew my eye towards the Dereelight was the simple fact that as new LEDs come out, they make new "pills" that can be swapt out for the out....meaning you can upgrade the light as new technology comes out. Also, there is an Aspherical lens available for the Dereelight as well.

Aspherical Head for DBS & CL1H

So far, from what I can tell....for me, it's a toss up between the two.

After doing a ton of research, I have decided to buy the Dereelight with an aspherical lens. :)

If you feel the possibility of upgrading more cheaply in the future is more important than getting a high quality reflector immediately, you have certainly made the right choice. It was also a good idea to get an aspherical lens!
Congratulations on your purchase! May we look forward to a few pictures when you receive it? :) I always like to see photos taken by customers rather than ones taken by the company.

I would be more than happy to take pictures. I most likely won't get it until the middle of next week....Shipping takes time. :)

They also have an Orange peel reflector for this light as well....that would get rid of all of the artifacts, but in the process of doing so, it will decrease it's throwing power. :(

Also, I will be buying the Aspherical lens at the same time...so I will get an HQ lens. :)

FYI: The Tiablo A9 comes with the same type (Smooth pollished) of reflector as the Dereelight. The Aspherical lens for the Tiablo is an option that has to be purchased on top of the original light purchase. :)

Thanks for your help....your comments are much appreciated. :)

That's what I hear. :) They don't call it the "King of Throw" for no reason. :)

Ok...I got my Dereelight with the Aspherical lens and.......WOW, this light is awesome.

By far the furthest throwing LED flashlight that I have EVER SEEN. Nothing can touch this light when it comes down to throw. :) THis light is intense.

I will post some pictures when I get some time....this week.

Later,

PS: The service from www.flashlightconnection.com was great. Jay (Not our Jay), shipped my light with in hours of me purchasing it. A+++ service
