Was looking a couple up the other day and they are interesting but I don't think they are for me. To me it just wouldn't feel like a watch anymore.

Hey, does anyone have any suggestions for a skeleton? I want a watch fully automatic and viewable back and front for up to $1000.
Seems like anything good is 5K or more.
I like look of this Kudoke but it is out of my price range. Something like this is what I had in mind.

I dunno, but you could get this to ease your mind while finding your "real" one
Amazon.com: Invicta Men's 10240 Specialty Mechanical Gold Tone Skeleton Dial; 18k Gold Ion-Plated Stainless Steel Watch: Invicta: Watches

Pretty decent watch, but not auto

Edit: You could try this one too
http://www.amazon.com/Orient-Orient...8-catcorr&keywords=orient+star+skeleton+watch

orient star is the equivelent of grand seiko
HIGH QUALITY JAPANESE watch people say easily rival swiss watches
it's 1500 though

That's not bad. I might have to look for a stainless model since gold is a bit flashy. I Will continue to look. I am in no hurry. Hmm thanks for the idea.

In the past 6 years I have owned two notable watches, one was an Armitron automatic, I liked it quite abit actually but after a couple years (2 maybe) of regular wear it stopped winding and ticking. I paid 100 bucks at that time so it was no luxury. To this day I miss it.

Next I bought a mechanical/auto fossil that looked nice but was god awful heavy and thick. It has three polished triangles to the left and the clock face to the right, maybe you've seen it. After wearing it for a month or two I didn't like it but I paid about $200 so I contuned to wear it.
I lost it. I THINK I took it off while sleeping at a friends house and it slipped into his couch. I questioned him a week later but he denying finding it. I have no proof that he took it but I've always considered it a possibility.

So now I have decided I want to go strictly automatic and don't mind spending the money on extra quality.

I also owned a pebble. That cracked but I liked it also. Smart watches aren't my thing.

You do know that the fossil you had was actually quartz, just the second hand was mechanical... :shhh:
