Haha, I know! I'm just teasing him :D

-Dustin

Ah, I get it now, always slow to pick up on those things :p

I must admit however, that iDevices don't last long. I've got an iPod touch (2nd gen) and everything is going on it, volume button doesn't work, sleep button doesn't work. Speaker is really quiet, and the battery can't hold a charge. I take really good care of my devices, so it must be the quality of the iPod Touch.

Never again with Apple. Their portable stuff isn't made to last.

Posting pictures and talking about guns on a "LASER" forum is both stupid and threatening to others (even though most of us have them).

Keep it to yourself.

please explain how its both stupid and threatening :gun::gun:

This is the Other section, so we dont have to speak about lasers...

We've got entire threads dedicated to firearms and knives in this section ;)

Peace,
dave

They are meant to last until the new model comes out, so you can throw more money at them :p

I use an iPod touch and a OLD cellphone (lots cheaper than an iphone), and the cellphone is still working after 6 years of rugged use.

I dont know about their portable gear; my iphone 4 is over a year old, and my mates 3gs (who is rough with his gear - tradie) which is over 2 years old are still ticking like it was new, despite his now having quite a few rough and tumble scars on the back from exposure to his handling...

however, the supplied earbuds suck - lasted with me all of a week because A) the left one died and B) the sound quality was shit. Invest in some good headphones - the supplied ones with idevices are a token only, getting better ones substantially improves the audio quality.

Mind you with my iphone 4 it has always been in a cover, and always had a screen protector on it. It should fetch market or slightly over when sold when I decide to upgrade to a newer model / different phone.

Blord: that thing looks dangerous - my friend has one above his computer. It looks like it can easily take off a head (well I guess it can - that what they were used for!). His display stand is exactly the same, but the cover for the blade on his has some design on it - mabye you and he got the same brand/model of katana?

OMG, Amen to that!

That is exactly what I do. I carry around my 4th gen and a nokia e63 which has a few stories behind it.

I really don't give a crap about my nokia so I literally throw it at the table instead of placing it down and if im doing something in the hard i just throw put it or put it in a tree or something :p

Wen't out to the park once. Me and a few of my friends actually played "who can throw it the furthest" with my nokia. I swear, by the end of that it didn't have a single scratch on it. Mind you, we were throwing it well over 30 meters over grass! By the end it was still switched on and the back cover that is held by a small plastic lock was still attached.

I've even dropped it 3 and a half meters down onto concrete while climbing a tree, with permission ofcourse :p

I now call it "my brick" and one of my phrases is "if you drop it on the floor, watch out, you might need new tiles" :p

Anywho, theres the life story of my phone. I wouldn't even be comfortable doing that with my iPod even with a screen protector and a thick silicone case.

i went into crap-shack today and told them there dmms are crap and then bought a switch...........:D:D

Haha nice. My old DMM was from Radio Shack. It's not too bad, it's really small, but just doesn't have all the features I'd like. It was time to step it up.

Speaking of warranties. If any un-touchscreen nokia phone had even a 30 day warranty I wouldn't think twice about buying it if I wanted it. Thats how solid I believe "most" of their phones are.

Good to see you got a new DMM and can continue with your project btw :)
