Can a civvie get an MP7 without spending a f$ckton of cash, provided they're willing to fork over the $200 for a class III? They look like such fun little things :D

One gun I have always wanted is this one:
http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o54/Ashaneen_HoFo/MAC_M10A1.jpg

Mainly because it fires so fast, and I have always liked the clean look of it.
Wiki quote "The rate of fire of the M-11A1 is listed as approximately 900 rpm (rounds per minute), though in reality, it is closer to 1,200 rpm.[2] At this incredibly high rate of fire, the weapon is difficult to control while on full-auto, but short bursts can be accurate at ranges up to about 30 yards (27 m)."
For now, I will have to settle for my 2 gas-powered Airsoft ones.
careful, the Mac-11 is just a spray-and-pray gun. Someone on this site had a semi-auto mac-10 in 9mm and said it was a piece of crap. On top of that, the mac-11 fires .380 ACP which is an awful round. It still looks like a lot of fun though :D
As with any gun it's usability and effectiveness are dependent upon practice and control...
My Mac-11, as configured up top (Lage Slowfire & red-dot sight) shoots around 750-800rpm.
It can hit a paper plate out to about 75 yards and dump an ENTIRE magazine onto a paper plate around 20 yards.
Not to mention, out of the 8" barrel 9mm rounds are running near .357 velocities.
Below are two targets both shot around 15 yards. Printed on the paper is shots-on-target and shots-on-paper.
Left target is stock M-11/9 firing in 3-5rnd bursts. Right target is with the Max-11 slowfire kit firing F/A magdumps.
As you can see, the 800rpm mac shoots alot better (especially with red-dot sight) but the stock mac is hardly a "piece of crap".
Although the stock mac does fore upwards of 1000rpm and after about 5 shots it's tough as shit to control.

PS: The M11-A1 shoots .380acp... The M-11/nine shoots 9mm... The M-10 shoots .45 or 9mm.

No, the only full auto firearms transferable to civilians or non-dealers are those firearms made/registered PRIOR to May 1986.
Any F/A gun you see that is owned by a civilian (legally) is at least 24 years old.
Obviously, the MP7 was invented well after 1986.

I didn't have a wife/house/kids for awhile. Nowdays my gun buying has slowed down.
I bought most of that while I was a college student making $15/hr living in mom's basement.

The only gun on my "to-get" list nowadays is a Tromix 12 SBS and Ruger 10/22.

the tromix 12 is cool-but the ruger 10/22 is so cliche nowadays. I would get an AR-7 instead if I were you... basically the same but fifty times more cool because it collapses into the stock-you can also get waterproof and floatable versions :D That is, unless you plan to get an automatic receiver kit for the 10/22.

My ruger 10/22 will have a 16" .920 bull barrel with integral suppressor and ATN 350 NV scope.
Nothing cliche about 110dB midnight pwnage. :)

AR-7s are pretty cool though.

Awesome. The .920 refers to the outer diameter of the barrel, right? Also-just so you know, a friend who is in the military saw a video where some military group used, of all guns, 10/22 mods with integrated supressors to infiltrate and eliminate everyone in some outpost XD

And I still have a few more pieces to show you guys!

Oh lawdy... I'm now considering joining the military/moving to the middle east if only to show up at the range, open the case to my fully automatic brand new g36 and have a bunch of hand grenades spill out :D
