just wanted to find out what most of you all use for the forum template

if you don't know what a template is, you can chose the layout for the forum that you like most in your profile

go to options, and you can pick from 3 different layouts

i am trying my best to make a good variety of layouts

darkshadows is dark, and the default one the forum uses
the white layout is for people who don't like everything so dark
ice realm 2 is in the middle

in the future i will probably end up adding more options, but it is quite hard to make a really good template, and the free ones available usually aren't very good or have bugs.

suggestions are always appreciated. i want you all to enjoy the look of this forum as much as the content!

I like the Darkshadow because I use it whilst out doing astronomy it helps my dark adapted vision. Not to mention it's not hungry on the CPU/RAM like the Icerealm is...

The other ones hurt my eyes lol all the bright white colors and stuff, We really do need a search button on Darkshadow tho, ON the icerealm thers a search feature that you can type in right on the home screen but not on darkshadow :(

i will see if i can get the search button on darkshadows home page. gotta research it a bit to make sure i do everything right

Darkshadows, have never known anything else, I am proud to be a member of the only forum I know of that doesn't require breaks between viewing due to eye stress. :p

Darkshadows FTW it seems. I just tried out the other two and they just seemed sharp and more offensive to the eyes. Part of Ice looked good but the entry boxes were just too vibrant and it was distracting.

Dunno, the dark is too dark for me, and with the icerealm - I tried that in the early days, when I'd just open all unread threads in new tabs (having 30+ tabs), and it did slow down my system. Then I got the hang of white and kind of stuck there.

I use darkshadows, easy on the eyes, looks cool and not as much CPU/RAM usage.

Another white user here.  The other two seem either too dark or have too many colors while browsing.

I like to read my newspapers, emails and books in white backgrounds, and guess that's the main reason i choose to continue this reading-comfort feeling on the LPF as well  ;)

i added the search feature to dark_shadows

it is right next to the line on the top of the forum that greats u, where you get PMs
