Plenoptic camera, for lovers of photography.

Well, no doubt this model is not up to par, but the principle, though old, is very interesting.

Maybe in a few years we have really something interesting for all.

But for a start for the public in general, is not very bad.

Saw these about a year back, pretty damn cool.

I am totally lost when they are trying to explain how it works, but the idea of being able to focus the images after it was taken is very cool.

Yes, nothing new, but I thought of those who do not know, it is a rather peculiar.

That's pretty neat technology and the photo's look very clear but I wonder, beyond very technical uses, just how clear pictures and TV can get until it make little difference to the human eye or the viewing experience.

Well yes, besides the value that each person can find with this technology, or not, it is undeniable that take a picture
without worrying about of the focus at the time of taking the photo, it is still interesting.

Personally also I find it a very interesting technology, but this particular camera model need to polish many details
and need to improve some features.

For example, the resolution of this camera in particular is very poor due to its unique technology, only 1080 x 1080 pixels.

Proprietary system files.

Pretty bad screen.

Not compatible with Windows for now, only MAC.

And others problems or limitations, but as I said, maybe in the future will improve much all these problems in
future versions, models, or maybe with new competing brands in the market.

That is a neat system. It is like PS in the computer at back home.
The real pro always shoot multiple photo's of the same object in and out focus. You never know.

Basically a compact CMOS sensor that is overdriven with software. The technology theory behind the device is cool, but after trying one at COEX mall, it's actually fairly useless in terms of practicality. The camera comes locked in iso800 and the picture grain is horrific.
bearly 2MP per image. $400 is an idiotic price for something like this.
I'll put that $400 towards a real camera DSLR (7D or 8D) or even a LUMIX compact. Not overpriced crap like this.

Having played with one at a laserist meet, I can't help but agree with seoul_lasers.
