PICTURES ADDED DIY helping Hand (THE BEST ONE YOU'LL EVER USE LOL)

Hey guys and gals, so I was recently wanting to build my own version of the helping/third hand. I found a few ideas on google and youtube. I used those flexible cnc coolant hose's with some medium sized alligator clips, and a thin block of steel. Hope you guys like it. Honestly this is going to make life a hole lot easier when I am soldering. These hose's can be picked up for less than 12$ and the whole thing can be built for less than 25$. I found one on ebay and a few other sites for over 49$ Oh I forgot to mention the elec. tape is not what's holding it together...

nice work there- +6 when I can.

I watch for the ones w/ LED light when on sale at HarborFrieght- less than 12$IIRC

once you use one you will not want to be w/o a helping set of hands
I put shrink on mine too
that stuff has a lot more uses than most know--

Fly tying vises work pretty good also but yeah, the coolant hoses are way more versatile.
4 mounted on a plate like that with room for a vise in the center is perfect :gj:

The first thought I had when I saw the 4th picture with all four arms mounted = It's alive!!!

Thank you...yea I've seen that one. I was thinking about making another one in a triangle format so I could put a led on the third hose or maybe a magnifier

Wow I use those coolant lines all the time at work, never crossed my mind. You better patent it before someone steal it. Nice!!
