Awesome! Blue and Green is such a great combo! BTW, your 445 looks great, especially with that black host!

whats the output of your 445?

It ain't mine 445nm, it's ReNNo's, we measured it just below 700mW.

Thanks ;)

When my diodes arrive, I'll take some low ISO, long expo shots, it's kind of difficult to make very long expo shots because I have my dog running around me, he's crazy about lasers just like me :D

I'll try though.

Nice! A cool shot might be both the blue and green lasers inside the old barn pointing straight up at the roof. Camera would be on tripod outside of barn looking in with a wide enough angle to see the barn walls and maybe a little bit of sky. Then do like a 15-30 second exposure... Maybe aperture priority @ f/11-16 or something so everything is sharp. You would get this old looking barn with these bright beems lighting the inside. And even better if there are some holes in the roof you could get an even wider shots with the beam coming out of the barn roof! Man I would love to take that shot!! Anyway just an idea :D

Hey BuildAbluraylaser,

Nice jumping spider! We have several of these around here and they fascinate me. Those eyes! I took some macro pics of one quite a while ago but my harddrive ate them all so wothout them, it didn't happen! Ha!

I'll try and dig out some nice ones from the collection in a later post...

M
:)

Found this one on a couch at a home I'm renting this summer :

It took me by surprise when it jumped on my lens... So I brought it outside :

Haven't yet edited these images, this is raw camera output.

Spiders are cool. When I moved from the beach I found a very small spider in my hutch. It had a white abdomen with black polka dots. Wish I had a camera with a macro setting. :undecided:

Uhh yeah, minor problem about that - the barn you saw in my first set of picz is not mine, it's neighbours' barn so...
"Hi neighbour, would you let me to take some picz of my lasers inside your barn?" <--uhh... what?

Don't worry, I got something prepared, as soon as my diodes arrive. The back of the yard, where trees are, reminds of small forest... it'll be interesting photo-session spot. Unless ofcourse, 445nm sets something on fire.:p

:bumpit: ?
If that's your way to say "Eudaimonium god damn it you promised us picz", then I have to dissapoint you much like my post man dissapointed me when he came pretty much empty handed in my street, no package from Canada in sight. It should've arrived last week.
Now weekend, two days of nothing coming over to me laser related.

I am seriously hoping for it to arrive monday. If not, I have to call somebody somewhere, cause obviously they lost my packet with 2x blue diodes, 3x hosts, and misc stuff.

Well let's hope it arrives Monday :D
Yeah, Bill estimated the arrival time 17th - 22nd , but today is already 24th. Imagine my dissapointement, I am expecting it unpatiently.

Well, considering the +44°C daytime temps here, I guess it's somewhat a good thing to not have a reason to fire up additional 350°C source in my room...

Nice Photos everyone.
Once I get all my lasers, I'll be doing some long exposure shots too.

Thanks everyone! I'm really amazed at all the difference a tripod makes, they really came out sharp.
Given that the spider does not move, but since they rarely do I guess it's OK to attempt to take decent shots of those critters.

Shorter exposure might be best since there is more then enough light around, adding flash won't burn out the photo anyhow...

Not that those photos of yours need any fixing, I'm just thinking out loud.
