holy sh**!
my apartment complex is trying to charge me $40 for a piece of junk mail that fell out of the trashcan and was left in the mailroom..........................

"Please be aware of the trash policy for [complex name]--

--Trash pickup times and days--

Unfortunately, the staff had to dispose of trash on an undesignated day/undesignated area (date above [10/22]).

Trash is not to be left in any common breezeway areas or on patios; this creates an eyesore for neighbors. If needing to dispose of trash at other times, there is a compactor across from bldg 11&12 for your convenience, again, please remember to bag and tie the trash.

Remember, trash disposed of at any other time other than the times noted above will result in a fee of $40.00 per bag. Since this has been addressed previously, a fee of $40 (per bag) has been assessed to your account.

Total fee assessed: $40 if trash is not disposed of properly; trash left in the mailroom.

Please make payment within 72 hours..."

Left me say this... are you fu**ing kidding me? A single piece of paper 10" x 6" requires the same amount of effort to throw away as it does to pickup trash bags (curbside trash pickup) and take them to a compactor to crush them...? And they even have those grabby things so they don't have to waste any energy on bending over... Let alone, we have NEVER received any notification that any piece of trash was left ANYWHERE else in the complex for this to be considered the second time that its happened... Gonna have to go "speak" to these [insert adjective] people.

Yeah and then on top of that they say that two people have complained about my driving through the complex when i'm doing a mild 15-20 while others are either going faster or pulling out in front of people... Like the other day some guy was at a T, i was going straight and he came out like half way and almost hit me... and they say that if i get another complaint, somehow the resident cop will write me a ticket... for what, i don't know... nazis...

Greed. Those complexs make SO much money, and still they want more. They think of every way possible to make steal your money.

yeah, placed it on oct 6th. shouldn't be too much longer though... As long as they get here before the 6x sled, everything'll be good.


And it turns out that some ignoramus in the front office printed it on the fine form instead of the warning form...
But seriously... $40 for a piece of paper?

I was had an accidental overdraft fee for $150... Guess how much I went under? 98 cents. Fortunately though, they dropped the charge after some "negotiation" over the telephone.

I got my manager in trouble once by writing an e-mail to the head person of this region. I was going to change apartments since I want one on the first floor. I looked at this one that had nasty carpet and cabinets that didn't match. She told me the carpet was fine. I've also had maintenance problems that weren't fixed after telling them multiple times. Needless to say, I found out the carpet was changed after somebody else moved in. I was furious.

My rent just went up when I renewed the contract. I have no idea why though. Everybody's rent went up for some reason. The maintenance is crap and none of the utilities are included. I'm going to write another letter if they try to increase the rent again next year.
