Here is a cool way to download flash games, that requires no additional software to download/play it. Well first, you need Internet Explorer 7(thats what i know it works on, dunno about the others). Go into the flash game, and let it load. If it has a main menu, leave it at that. Go to tools, internet options and in the history section, click on settings. Then a dialogue box should pop up. Click "view files", and wait for it to load. Skip past all the cookie files(the main file is usually at the botom depending if its the last thing you did on internet explorer) There should be a little icon that looks like the internet explorer sign on a piece of paper, with a file name similar to the game. right click on it once you have found it, and copy it to wherever you want it kept. Most of the time, your computer will not know what to open it with, so point it to internet explorer, and it should open almost instantly in internet explorer. It may ask if you want to allow it and whatever, just click yes. Then you have the game saved on your computer, and doesn't require a intrnet connection to play! Its good for me, since my school charges us for our internet usage, so saving the game to th computer is cheaper, so you don't have to load it everytime.

lol, if my school did that nobody would have internet... most students above year 9 use the school's FAT pipe (Dual 16 MBit dedicated data connections) to download anything they cant at home :D

I have probably downloaded about 200GB since year 8... demos of games and shit mainly :D ;D

Oh, I surely enjoy it here. Having a 100MBit connection lets me have several 4kbyte/s-downloads at once...stuff the like.
good thing the dorm is hooked up to the univerity's internet connection :) What sucks is that most ports are closed so no vnc or things alike.

If you look at the page source, you can often see the url to the flash file. Put that into any download manager (or, if none present put it into a simple html-file) and you get the file. Then, open it with your browser.

philguy, you know you can route VNC and things like that over port 80... which is definitely open. I have gotten a tunneled VPN through my school's firewall to my home network by doing that. Set all the ports to port 80 :p not terribly secure, but with a 256 bit encrypted key, not so bad. :D

I tried that. Set VNC port to 80, activate that on the NAT, tried to access it from inside university net, didn't work.

I think I might need a "tunnel", is that right? Or what is that called, so that I know what I have to feed google.

Man, what things posted totally reminds me of my time at school, where we used proxies to circumvent the school filter although the "internet options" were disabled with IE, there is still outlook express...never mind Firefox (on a usb-stick, "tampering-safe", or even less, a live-CD :) Stuff the like, although we never actually did anything "hackish". All wen wanted was to access certain sites (NO, not porn or anything the like, just "blocked sites" in general. I had read about cracking Admin password and once considered doing it (because it wouldn't let me install good programs, like FF or upgrade WMP), but never got into it.

Oh dear, did we have fun.

It's quite easy to capture an admin password hash from network traffic and ophcrack will crack NTLM hashes for you. :D gotta try it on my school network some thine but as of yet I'm not game enough to risk all computer access within the school.
