I used to do tattooing myself too, then it got to the point where I was doing stupid shit on myself, so I sold my gun. I'll stick to drawing from now on.

While I'm not as good freehand as either of you, I am still learning and have only been hand drawing intermittently for a total of approx 1 year.

fine detail does not dictate art. As long as your image conveys some kind of emotional response, its all good.

Yeah, although emotion is sometimes hard to capture without detail, it is not necessary at all, sometimes the lack of detail can convey infinite more emotion/imagination than more detail.

I try really hard to make a fool of myself. Thanks for the complement bro. :beer: Looks like you're the one crying now. :crackup:

Here are a couple of first draft examples. Unfortunately my portfolio got soaked in a flood. I lost 70% of my best work.

This ones titled "Fetal Bondage", and is pen and ink. I made him smaller in the final project because he was too big to be a fetus obviously. I also had him tied to an old wooden cross.

Thanks men. You should have seen the finished projects. 50-60 hours on some. I did a picture of Christ hanging from the cross in just stipple, no lines. It was extremely dark, and took me ~70 hours. I gave that away for a Christmas present to my old best friends mom about 16 years ago. I wish I took a picture.
