I have always been interested in photography but have never had a capable camera to shoot with.

Well I recently bought a decent phone (LG G4) which is quite a joy to shoot with. Some of these photos
I've already posted in the Random Pics thread but thought I'd share a few more here.

I'd love to see some shots from you guys as well so post your nature photos here! We all know there are many skilled
photographers here and I think it's very true that we can gain a lot of inspiration by experiencing the creative work of others.

Thanks ArcticDude

It goes without saying but lighting is everything! In the right lighting conditions most current phones can take very good photos,

although mine frequently suffers from over-saturation, which to me isn't necessarily a bad thing.

More great photos Will, looking good!
Those springtime pics are extra nice around here with our fall and winter coming all too soon.

What beautiful photos Will !
Wow that LG G4 has great photo capabilities.
Love that cow shot especially, reminds me of our place.

And great idea for a thread, I would love to contribute.

BTW this is not me:

Haha thanks BowtieGuy! We've had a very slow start to spring down here in Victoria, the rain seemed like it would never cease but now the weather's quite beautiful!

Wow, your photography skills are always incredibly impressive RB! Keep them coming

You are making me miss spring. It is so very far away here. Beautiful.

Global warming is a conspiracy theory. Just look outside and see how cold it's getting :p

I would go that far, Will. Just look at the Great Barrier Reef. That is the best example of global warming, or climate change I know of.

I would go that far as well ;)

Sorry should have emphasized that emoticon at the end ":p"

But yes you're quite correct Paul. Compounded by the CO2 induced increase in ocean acidity, it's not looking good.

Anyway back to the pics!

Lazerman121 that's a great MilkyWay shot, well done.
Post some more when you can.
RB

My favorite from this year:
...three tornadoes on the ground at once from one storm!

Trevor
Trevor that's amazing, awesome power right there.
I admit it though, I'd be to terrified to try a shot like that, I've never experienced such a storm situation like that.

The dynamic range in those is very good, probably better than my iPhone 6 which even today is a serious contender.

Phones are getting better and better, except the ones that are exploding :D

Nice The last ones my favorite I love landscape scenery images.

That's crazy Trevor  You've got balls to take shots like that! There's now way I'd even think about getting that close!

The image below is from a hike we did on Mt Feathertop during the end of September. Even though we were well into Spring there was still plenty of snow to hike through!
Which if you haven't before presents an entirely new challenge. Hiking through snow without proper boots is more akin to hiking through quick sand.

Oh Snow !!!
I love it, I've only ever seen it once in my life.... :cryyy:

Well I hope I'm not posting too much but I love this thread.

How's about a hanging dewdrop?
