hey guys, i saw a thread on the LC about the mythbusters doing a myth about lasers, and thought it might be a really good idea if they did one that had lasers in it?? maybe they could test if someone shined a laser at a plane, is it really that serious???
i don't know, but i though it might be something cool they could do??

i got this off the LC, so i don't really know if these emails are supposed to contain the [nospam] part, although they prolly would with the popularity of the show??

I think it would be awesome but I just can't think of any good ones. Maybe test if all of WLs lasers are teh suk? :D


You know in the movie Real Genius? I was thinkin about something from that...

ya hmmmmm?? i reckon they could test whether shining lasers at planes is really that big of a deal, i mean what is the chance of getting a 1cm or whatever size dot, into the cockpit of a moving plane?

1 cm dot on an AIRBORNE plane things??? Geez either u have low flying planes dodging telephone poles or a AWESOME laser.... :p sorry could not resist hahah......im an as s lol! wouldn't the beam be big when it gets to a reasonable altitude? i thought they were only a danger to planes landing/taking off.... hmmm needs busting me thinks :p

ya me too, but it is mainly when the planes come into land, and take off! does someone want to email them and ask em??

the emails will be without the [nospam], adding that to emails shown online stops spam bots harvesting the addresses because the email *with* [nospam] in it isn't valid but a human knows to remove it.

I didn't make anything fancy, just a short paragraph or so:

Hi,

Us folks at www.laserpointerforums.com would love to see you test the myth that a high powered laser can really blind a pilot in flight. It's hard to imagine that someone on the ground could hit a pilots eye since the cockpit is on the top of the nose.

Besides, a laser pointer that can light matches and melt/engrave plastic, isn't that right up Adams ally?

ooohh nice! yeah i thought adam is intot hat kinda stuff aswell, so yeah, hopefully they decide to test it!

The REAL myth that requires testing is determining if it's really true if being held by a bikini-clad Kari Byron will up a 5mW $.99 pointer to over 300mW…. :D
