I have one too! It's an Air Hogs RC helicopter, I can't see a serial # anywhere, only other thing is has is SPIN MASTER LTD. It's SO fun, a pain in the arse to get it to spin without the chassis spinning too...But, it's still pretty fun ;)

Now that I have both the 6020-1 and the S107. I would definitely recommend the S107.
I think it turns tighter, the trim is more accurate, and it goes backward/forward better than the 6020-1.
Thanks for the recommendation

get a s107, really.
Hi / hola!
I've decided to give indoor-electric-RC-Helis a try, but I don't want to buy just any $30 garbage. So of course, I started to do my homework. Knowing you guys are freaks with more than just photons, I figured I'd search LPF for RC heli threads and voila, here I be
;)

I've been eyeballing Walkeras and in particular, the 4#3B* which is a 4ch mini. Helipal sells it for $149 incl. everything, RTF, new gen. 2.4GHz transmitter, etc.

*EDIT - and the flybar-less successor, the V100D01...

But seeing as it would be my first, perhaps I should be a bit more reasonable & start off with your s107 first...

Finally, it's been a while since this thread was updated and perhaps there are newer & better helis on the market, so I thought I'd ask first before placing the order.

EDIT - Someone recommended the Z008 in the $30 coax arena... any thoughts?

Last but certainly not least:
coax vs. single fixed-pitched vs. single collective pitch (CP): can anyone direct me to a thread that sums up the pros & cons of these blade designs please?

Thx

EDIT 2.0
Ok... being quite familiar with the delays incurred during the Chinese New Year I made my choices and the V100D01 is already on it's way :D Just to make sure I don't kill it right off the bat I also ordered a 3ch $30 job, but just to keep it interesting I went with a very small "mini"; this one is just 11.5cm (4.5") long but is still a 3CH w/Gyro heli ;) It's a Swift Mini-X, also purchased @Helipal. The biggest downside is the limited power supply but then again, it's just to warm before getting around to the V100D01 :8

Not a cheap transaction, but then again, I only got clothes for Xmas so I figured I'd treat myself to something a little more fun :san:

I love my S107. It flies really well. Haven't tried the Blade CX3 yet. It looks hefty. :D

...my Trex 600 ... started doing some of the inverted stuff...
Jay, it would figure that your the resident expert :D Inverted... woah! The Aligns are all 6ch CP, if I'm not mistaken... . I'll be satisfied if I can keep my 4ch BFL (FP) from crashing on its maiden voyage  Well, it should arrive next week & I've been reading up on tweaking tactics...

Lol, I just realized that this is the same 6025-1 you guys were talking about at the very beginning of this tread... :yabbem:

I probably should have gone with your s107, but I was attracted by the small size of the 6025-1. Here's a Wiki on it, in case you're (still) interested...

Well it took like forever and to add insult to injury, it got flagged by customs (adding a whopping $70 to the total), but I finally got 'em :)

The V100D01 is a serious little beast; I did a check on all functions (throttle, aileron, elevator and rudder) and could barely hold on to it during the testing  This is not the sort of heli you can test out in your living room and it was too windy today so I'll have to wait a bit and/or take it to the office where we have a massive lobby (only after-hours testing of course :p ).

As for the 6025-1, it could have been a fun little toy for the living room except the tail rotor only spins when I give it a flick... which makes it rather hard (not to mention a bit boring) to fly the thing without elevators... :gun:

One thing, though, for all you engineering gurus out here in LPF; what's the point of adding 6, yes six LEDs to a Heli that only has a 60mAh power source??? Argh...

I got the Blade CX3 , wasnt stable at all..juddering like hell, was about to send it back but my friend wanted to buy it so i flogged it to him, i also got the Syma S107 , that is an amazing bit of kit for the price, seemingly indestructable.

I bought SH-6025-1 , and a few flights into its life it had a light impact and the top rotor coupling broke....very dissapointed, but while it worked it was amazing.

I have a custom upgraded lama v4 with carbon indestructable rotors ect.... Pretty good to fly but perfect balance is impossible with this stuff.
