Well,

I haven't been wanting to spend money on lasers for now due to me being satisfied with what I have and wanting to save up for a vehicle. Lately I have been trying to grow Bell Peppers but that didn't work so well......:undecided:

Anywho.....I call the local pet store today and after a 1:30 hour bike ride picked up this little guy, and named him Marley!

He's a little Male Betta fish and is pretty small and easy to take care of. If you do happen another fish of it's kind or others(his species only gets along with a few others) he eats them. :can: I will be putting him in his bowl in 2 days as the water in his main bowl needs time to be safe with the conditioner I added due to it being tap water! Maybe Marley will make an LPF account?!?!

Thanks for looking :)

If I were you I would have waited for the final version. Best of luck with him Greenlander, I hear they can live up to 5 years but the average is more like 2.

Alan

LOL. The final version won't come out for a few years, so I took the trial one for now :D

And I read about one who lived for 10 years, I was like jeez!

Thank you Squared.

Wow nice beta fish, I have had 2 beta fish's and both were female. The first one after a few months his left eye got really big (swolen/buldge) and didn't know why but he started laying down a lot and never moved much and died not to long after. The second one tries to bite my finger when i get my finger to close to the surface he swims up to it lol(it actualy hurts) .

Goodluck with yours

Thank you,

I'll do my best with it. That's weird that one of yours had a swollen eye?!?! Was it a disease or just genetics?

It was called Pop-Eye there is so many different answers so i don't know exactly but i think its just sypmtoms of diseases or a bacterial infection.

long ago I had one. once I went to feed it with a very small measuring spoon. i got distracted for a moment by the tv and didnt dump it in right away, but had it hovering over the water for a bit. my fish didnt want to wait, jumed out of the water to strike the bottom of the spoon, knocking out the food. I though it was kinda cool, so I made him do it every time. he did until death, around 2 years later. I recommend giving them flies too, when you can, they like 'em. dont show it a mirrior too often, you can stress 'em out.

I feel terrible for all the betta fish I see in walmart. I dont think they're ever fed or have their water changed. if they die before being sold, oh well.

Nice greenlander
Betas are great pets. You could put small uranium glass marbles in the bowl and a small uv led. That would look really awesome! Lol

Maybe Marley's big master Alex will get :banned: for letting him join.;)
I've got a goldfish with tropical fish in a 5 gallon aquarium and the big fat goldfish attacks the small guppyish fish.

@USABro Yeah, I'll probably get banned if he makes an account ;)

@nwfreefly I like this species. Only problem is it doesn't have a heater or anything right now so I will be upgrading to a 5 gallon tank w/ heater & filter next week :)

That's a good looking betta you have there. I'm happy to hear you're upgrading him to a 5gal with filter, IMO stagnant bowl water is about the worst thing for a fish. GL and post pics of the tank.

5 gallon tank and heater is a good call. I had a beta in a setup like that and it lived 5 years and got to be 2 inches long.
