now that the media (mainly channel 7) have made lasers illegal to import and have nothing to talk about. they are now trying to send qantas broke.
next it will be virgin blue and all the other airline companies, woudn't they have prefered for some aids infected, ice addic homosexual to 'point' a laser pointer at an aeroplane carying 450 passengers blinding the pilots and it crashing into Sydney CBD.

Pretty much most of the media are fucknuts who dont think about consequences.

Pardon my French.

AND: Its pretty much Morris Iemma's (premier of NSW) fault that lasers are banned.

Please explain? What about Qantas going broke?

I think it's because (pretty much) one of their planes has stuffed up each day over the past week. Not exactly, but within the last week, 4 or 5 planes have had to make an emergency landing of some sort.

yes, they had an oxygen bottle explede on a b-747 and then within a week a B767 landing gear lights did not indicate the gear had locked, so the pilots landed the aeroplane and the airline was abused for it. im sure there are some airlines that would have just flown the flight but that would be irresponsible.
and airlines delay flights all the time for serve but you dont hear about that do you.
why dont they just go back to talking about that princess dianna girl again.

The media consist of nothing but fucking idiots. They try to act like they know everything about something they know nothing about. Everybody in the media business would be fired if it was up to me. That includes newpapers, TV news reporters, magazine journalists, etc. Sports reporters would probably be the only ones I wouldn't fire. They hardly ever talk about anything that matters or about good deeds that somebody has done. That includes talking about soldiers that save the lives of some Iraqis that were injured because of some jack ass terrorist.

I'm done ranting about the media now...

It's interesting when you think about it.

I mean, the only time when we can pull up the media for bloating the truth is when they talk about something close to our hearts. Something we know enough about to say they are wrong.

So then you go and think "what HAVEN'T they lied about?". We take the things they say as fact, because we don't have any other facts to question their information. So then you go away and think "so EVERYTHING they say is a bloated version of reality?".

Since we base most of our understanding of the international world on the news (unless you like traveling) that calls in to question all our perception of what's "really out there".

Here's an interesting thing to think about.

Most of us regard the President of America, Mr George Bush as a bit of an idiot. Not very smart, makes stupid decisions, etc. etc.

So where did we learn about this? Why, the media :) And especially people forming opinions about the media and relaying those opinions. But fundamentally, since our main connection with the president is via the media, that's where our perceptions of him come from.

But what was that? We're just talking about the media being wrong and bloating the facts?

I propose to you that George Bush is actually a literary genius. However, the media only take his slip ups and make a big deal about those. Whilst ignoring the brilliance he was speaking about just before.

I'm not a 'bush lover' or anything, I'm just using him as an example :) So you may look at what I've just said and go 'nah man, you're full of it. bush IS an idiot'. But where did you learn that from :) Where did your opinions from bush stem from? Maybe your friend said he was an idiot, maybe your favorite TV show called him an idiot. But those things all boil back down to the media, and what they tell the public about him.

Makes you think ;)

They're turning kids into slaves just to make cheaper sneakers.
But what's the real cost?
'Cause the sneakers don't seem that much cheaper.
Why are we still paying so much for sneakers
When you got them made by little slave kids
What are your overheads?

Sports and weather people are about the only two media that I think doesn't make for serious repercussions.
As far as the rest, your are exactly on point, but maybe even a little too lenient...

As most of you already know, I HATE THE MEDIA! It is the #1 tool of "herding the sheep" using the power of suggestion. The media distracts people from real important issues and lures them in to focus on quite the opposite. And it's terrible that you have famous people stand in front of the nation, even sometimes the world, and literally lie, because of lack of education, experience, or even interests, and sometimes completely ignorant of everything they're suggesting. But because it SEEMS (key word) that they are experts in freaken everything, the people (sheep=less questing/gullible people) believe that not only what minuscule suggestions are being presented are important (why wouldn't it be if it's on TV?...), but actually believe every detail for gospel. That's absurd, and ridiculous, but it exists nevertheless. :(

The biblical analogy I use exist like this:

Shepherds = Us - the rare people who have the ability to question, and lead ourselves and others away from blasphemies so can can live a better life closer to the truth (ignorance is not bliss) and grow in passion/respect/honor toward love and personal power/knowledge growth; liberals. [smiley=engel017.gif]

Sheep = They, them, the people - the majority of the people who are easy to control, very gullible, and feel they have no reason to question what they hear, (ignorance is bliss); conservatives. :-/

Wolves = Governments, media = the rare people who formulate suggestions and manipulations to present to the people with means of control, to lessen the quality of life of those who "eat the poison" to numb, to lower passion/respect/honor toward love and personal growth, less the chance of revolt because the presented blasphemies aren't enough to cause civil wars, but the truth if ever escaped could; dictators.
