My laser collection has taken a back seat this year to my lust for higher frame rates in Team Fortress 2. Thanks to my gaming addiction I've not even logged in here in at least 6 months. While I'm here seeking a host kit for a 405 build I thought I might share a story I found during work today.

Update: Ocean Marketing makes fatal gaming PR mistake - National Video Game Industry | Examiner.com

While reading through the original emails posted on Penny Arcade I was hit with a bit of déjà vu. It seems Wicked is not the only company who likes to sell products before they're manufactured. But as I read on it got much, much worse.

I did not enjoy being jerked around by Steve, but I would rather go through that 3 month wait with little response from support than go through what Paul Christoforo did.

I hear your frustration with WickedLasers...
I canceled my order after the 2nd lie they tried to
make me swallow...

Wicked Laser customer service is a FAIL....

I take it Wicked has not improved at all? I like my G1 Arctic, the Spyder host is interesting and still works like it did when I got it. No problems with the laser itself. However that 3 month period of uncertainty was agony and highly unprofessional behavior, I won't give them any more business.

Didn't one of their cheap batteries almost burn someone's house down?
