I received the Lumapower DX1 P7 Drop In from Lumapower.

You can also purchase the Lumapower DX1 P7 Drop In or complete light from Battery Junction.

My DX1 originally came with a 5 Watt Luxeon and a K2 Led.

The DX1 P7 Drop In is very easy to install.

SSC P7 C-Bin LED driven at 2.5A.

My DX1 is using 2 AW Protected 18650's.

Also came with a OP Reflector which smoothes out the beam very nicely.

Installed the rear screw from my previous module. The screw helps make contact to flat +ve anode of the 18650 batteries.

I removed the other module from the top of the battery tube.

Install the SSC P7 Module. The module screws in.

These are the lux readings I got. I am using a Meterman LM631 Light Meter measured at 1 meter. I waited 2 minutes before taking the readings. The Lumapower DX1 P7 is using AW's Protected 18650's. The ElektroLumens 2D, 3C Maglite P7 is fully charged Radio Shack C Nimh Batteries 1.2V 4500mAh.

Lumapower DX1 P7 (OP) - 7940 Lux @ 1 meter

Elektro Lumens P7 2D 3C Maglite (SMO) - 14,600 lux @ 1 meter

The Elektro Lumens P7 2D 3C Maglite has higher lux readings because it's using a SMO Reflector. The Lumapower DX1 P7 is using a OIP Reflector.

In these beam shots the Elektro Lumens P7 2D 3C Maglite is using a modified 2D Battery Tube that fits 3C batteries.

The Elektro Lumens P7 2D 3C Maglite is using a B Bin SSC P7 driven at after 2 minutes. 2.92A. The light is Direct Drive.

The Lumapower DX1 is using a SSC P7 C-Bin LED driven at 2.5A.

The Lumapower DX1 P7 OP Reflector helps eliminate the "doughnut" holes usually associated with the SSC P7's.

These are the same beam shots of the Lumapower DX1 P7 and the Elektro Lumens P7 2D 3C Maglite.

I used a faster shutter speed and kept the aperature the same as the other beam shots at 32'.

All shots taken at 32'
