Right, god wants to murder MORE OF the infants born to people who refuse to allow them medical treatment..in his infinite wisdom...?

Kind of in conflict with "Faith HEALING?"

Is that the same "infinite wisdom" that involved god making imperfect people, and then, a thousand or so years later, changing his mind about how annoying they were, and making them live shorter?

He changed his mind about how long they live, he forgot to save the plants...yet, the dove FOUND an olive branch indicating that an olive tree had survived 40 days of submergence under ~ 5 miles of water, and so forth, THAT infinite wisdom?

Did the talking snake tell you that over a nice steaming hot apple pie while you drank some nice cold apple cider?

Ugh. Just watched that news report on faith healing. All those dead who could have been easily healed by real medicine.

This is what blind adherence does to people. Freedom to practice religion should only go so far. When it causes harm to others, your beliefs cease to matter.

Whats worse is when its a child or baby that dies because of a belief they know nothing about. Faith healers should have their children taken away.

So if rampaging rapist murderer barges into your home, beats everyone half to death, rapes your father, and your mother, and then proceeds to get started with you, until you die a slow and agonizing death... not going to question that for one second?

It's god's will after all.

Or are you going to bet it all on the "I'll enjoy heaven for eternity" line of reasoning?

In that case why bother to cling to life so tenaciously at all? Next time you get sick, don't go to the doctor, just die. Enjoy heaven.

For that matter why did god give us this pesky drive to survive in this often miserable crappy life? If he knows what's to come, why does the make the good suffer alongside the bad? Why aren't you in heaven already?

Hey, if I were going to design a belief system that stated that I would always be there for my flock, and believe in me and I'll save you...without being able to DO ANY of that...I TOO would come up with some nifty excuses.

"It was TJ's will"

Who are we mortals to question the divine infinite knowledge of the Great and All Powerful, all knowing TJ?"

"TJ works in mysterious ways"

"TJ must have had a reason for allowing that poor baby to be raped to death by that escaped pedophile murderer"

IF I WAS ABLE to do all of that, I WOULDN'T NEED ANY BLANKET EXCUSES.

So, if god's PLAN was to have an infant brutally ripped in two by a madman...is he merely kind to madmen, but, not to infants?

His PLAN was to have a madman rip a baby in half?

What kind of plan would ANYONE (Other than said madman) have that required a baby to be ripped in half?

God is so great at thinking, and, that's his best shot?

What if a madman had ripped Hitler in half, when Hitler was a baby?

Or, better yet...why "Breathe life Into Hitler"? Why waste a soul on Hitler when there were so many nice little non-Hitler sperm swimming along right next to the Hitler sperm?

If you had a plan for him, you KNEW how it would play out.

Maybe the god who originally CHOSE the jews as HIS PEEPS, changed his mind, and decided he was an anti-semite now?

If you believe that god DOES have a plan for everyone, you have to believe that god is an evil mean spirited sumna beetch....because his PLANS seem to involve an awful lot of what he's supposed to be stopping.

So, the "Plan" includes murdering the children of the very people who put the MOST faith in him?

I buddy of mine has one paralyzed arm because HIS parents refused to get him a polio vaccine, because they HAD FAITH IN GOD.

IE:

Faith in God = DISEASE

Lack of Faith in God = VACCINE

That's how HE sees it at least. I'm inclined to agree, his parent's faith in god to protect their baby was paid back, BY GOD (If you believe he had a plan...) with disease and wasting of his arm.

Make all the trite excuses you want to...there's no plan, there's no evidence of a plan, unless you count evidence of the plan being evil....THEN there's evidence.

Otherwise, its just random bad luck/good luck, w/o needing fairies and elves and pixie dust to explain it.

...

You are severely confusing the 'will of God' with 'Free will'. By definition you are 'religious', and if you even remotely consider yourself a Christian then you would know that everyone has free will. It was not the will of God for that child to 'go' at that time, but merely the effect of severely misguided 'adherents' who so falsely believe in the power of divine intervention over medical practices. Although this is not to say that religious individuals should not be granted the opportunity to pray for their child, but to withhold medical treatment to those children demonstrates a sever lack of intelligence.

Sigh.

TRY to comprehend things, start with ANYTHING, please?

You saying you'd let someone rape and murder your family because "You can't comprehend god's will" is dangerously close to saying you would jump off a cliff, or cross a hwy w/o looking, etc.

Start with common sense.

Assuming that its too much to ask of you to realize its all mythology...

...start with simple baby steps.

A lot of people go with: "God helps those who help themselves".

That doesn't mean seconds for dinner, it means that you can't expect god to save you...YOU have to fight.

A lot of stories go along the lines of the guy who was ship wrecked, and a passing trawler stopped to pick him out of the ocean..and he said, "no thanks, God will save me!"

Then a helicopter comes by to save him, and he says, no thanks, god will save me.

A coast guard cutter come by and tries to rescue him, but again, he says god will save him.

Then he drowns....

...and is at the pearly gate, and says, God, why didn't you save me?

And God says, Fuk U, I sent a trawler, a helicopter and a freeking coast guard cutter. All you had to do is get the eff in. Go to hell, moron.

Your parents, even? They're brutally murdered one day, and you simply say "meh, god said they had to go. He knows best."

That makes you a sociopath, and an over-all despicable person.

This is a contradiction of the above. You seem to think people will be "judged by the life they have been given", so why would you risk their immortal soul by telling them about Jesus? If they reject him, even for logical reasons, you've basically sent them to hell.

So... god has it all figured out. He is all knowing. The alpha and the omega, the beginning, the middle, and the end, nothing escapes his knowledge, and understanding?

You can't hope to even understand god, and HIS reasons, so you just do what the bible tells you. (But not everything as we've already established, just some parts you like.)

You're just doing what you've been told.

Following orders.

Good for you.

You're sure to end up in great company if history is any guide.
