I find this statement to be supremely ironic.

That said, it would seem your god condemns to eternal limbo even the most virtuous person who does not believe in him.

Or is it the heresy circle, and an eternal flaming tomb that one ends up in, if they are told about christianity, but reject it?

Either way seems very contrary to being loving... you're literally sentencing people to one form or another of hell by being loving, and letting them know about your god.

After explaining this to you, let's see if you comprehend what we've told you.

1. Why do we believe in Jesus?
2. Why didn't God just kill us for sinning?

Because you were born into a family and culture that is Christian AND the bible tells you to believe in Jesus or you will burn in hell.
2. Why didn't God just kill us for sinning?
God kills us all the time. Good or bad, God will still eventually kill you.
How did I do?

Point taken, although my point was he could have completely destroyed the human race with one fell blow.
He used to let humans live hundreds of years, he got tired of our disrespect so he limited our years to 120.

The flying sp^ghetti monster could smite all you unbelievers by flooding the world with a savory boiling pasta sauce.

As proof he exists, here is his favorite recipe.

Ingredients

1 large onion, chopped
3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1/4 cup tomato paste
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
1/2 teaspoon hot sauce
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/4 teaspoon dried basil leaves
2 (28-ounce) cans whole Italian plum tomatoes, with their juices
3 whole heads roasted garlic, cloves removed from peels

Directions

In a large saucepan saute the onion in the olive oil over medium-high heat until soft and lightly golden, 4 to 6 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook, stirring, for 1 minute. Add the tomato paste, salt, balsamic vinegar, hot sauce, crushed red pepper, Italian seasoning, and basil, and cook for 1 minute. Add the tomatoes, crushing with your hands as you place them in the pan, and their juices. Stir to combine well and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to a slow simmer and cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add the roasted garlic cloves and stir to combine. Continue to simmer for 30 to 45 minutes longer, or until the flavors have come together.

Serve over sp^ghetti only

TWarne already covered the first, as to the second, because he doesn't exist. Certainly your god has no issue with killing.

Origins of Constitutional Law

While the Constitution does not explicitly refer to God, the concepts of law which it contains stem from the cultural assumptions of basic biblical truths widely held by the people of that time regardless of their actual piety towards God. In other words, it is an inarguable fact that not all Americans of that era actually held to the Christian faith, yet they held to the commonly accepted morals, ethics and standards of behavior derived from English Common Law, which drew from biblical law given to the Hebrews by God.

Underlying Biblical Principles

The rule of law laid out in the Constitution descends from the Ten Commandments. As they suffered at the hands of corrupt human authorities, the Constitutional delegates were aware of the flawed nature of human beings as shown in Genesis 3 and Jeremiah 17:9. Thus, they designed a system of checks and balances and separation of powers to prevent one individual or group from abusing the citizens through self-serving power ploys.

The three branches of government are reminiscent of the roles of God as described in Isaiah 33:22. The exception for Sundays in the time limit for the president to sign a bill into law in Article VII, Section 2 hints at the assumption that Sunday was a day of rest as set forth in Exodus 20.

Exodus 18 reveals that before Israel demanded that God give them a king, the Hebrews had a representative form of republican government, not unlike the system created in the Constitution.

Both Leviticus 19:34 and Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution require uniform treatment of immigrants. Deuteronomy 17:15 warns the Hebrews not to let a foreigner rule over them just as the Constitution requires the president to be a natural born citizen of the U.S.

The requirement in Article III Section 3 to establish guilt in cases of treason by the testimony of at least two witnesses recalls the biblical instruction in Deuteronomy 17:6 to have the testimony of two or three witnesses before putting a man to death.

I didn't write this it's from eHow.com
maybe you are onto something here. maybe the government was just following Leviticus 25:44-46, Exodus 21:20-21, Ephesians 6:5, and 1 Timothy 6:1-2 when they were setting up the slavery thing. lets go back to that, I think god's way is better. (sarcasm)

The only thing that limits our age is our physiology. We die of old age because our DNA eventually wears out and we can no longer replace dying cells.

If we curb the current trend towards obesity in North America and continue to make strides in medical technology, I have little trouble imagining that someone from my generation or the next will live to be 150. Not saying it will be common, but all the trends suggest that our biological lifespan (if you ignore external factors) is increasing.

While it still remains in the realm of science fiction for humans, genetic rejuvenation is being worked on, and has worked on mice to increase life spans.

Outside factors notwithstanding, if things progress as they are, at least some people currently living will live well past 120, and will most likely enjoy a greater degree of health as they age.

Progress is being made on literally all ten top causes of death. While I don't know how long it will take for gene therapy, we will start seeing replacement organs within the decade. Imagine how many people would be able to survive if instead of stop gap measures taken now the whole damaged organ, heart, kidney, liver, lung, could be replaced.

Stem cells. Organ cloning.

Imagine needing a new heart and instead of waiting for a donor who happens to have a heart that your body wont reject, they simply take a bit of your DNA, and in a few weeks, fresh new heart that's guaranteed not to be rejected.

Plus the past few years we've seen massive improvements to artificial body parts. We can now 3D print replacement limbs that have a full range of motion and can interface with our nervous system, and they're working on prototypes that will let these prosthetic limbs have touch.

And they've successfully given someone back their sight using a digital interface to the optic nerve. (albeit low resolution black and white imagery, but hey, better than complete blindness)

TEN Commandments....lets see, they used what, 3?
Is it really based on something if it used 3/10 of it, and, a 3/10 that appear in OTHER original sources that PREDATE the bible?

The three branches of government are reminiscent of the roles of God as described in Isaiah 33:22. The exception for Sundays in the time limit for the president to sign a bill into law in Article VII, Section 2 hints at the assumption that Sunday was a day of rest as set forth in Exodus 20.

LOL. LOTS of laws have waiting periods, and, again, predate the bible. Hints do not constitute "based upon"

Exodus 18 reveals that before Israel demanded that God give them a king, the Hebrews had a representative form of republican government, not unlike the system created in the Constitution.

Og for god's sake, really? The bible invented KINGS? Or republics? GREECE was a republic before ROME for example, again, a form of government that predated the bible.

Sigh, again, REALLY? The BIBLE was the first document to say "we rule ourselves"? Again, this ALSO predates the bible as a basic governmental trend.

The requirement in Article III Section 3 to establish guilt in cases of treason by the testimony of at least two witnesses recalls the biblical instruction in Deuteronomy 17:6 to have the testimony of two or three witnesses before putting a man to death.

And, once again, there were codes that ALSO predated the bible, and which also require testimony, and, the constitution doesn't require 2-3 witnesses to put a man to death anyway.

I didn't write this it's from eHow.com

Whoever wrote what you pasted was stretching things to the point of breaking. Its also ALL OLD testament references btw - all referring to the Hebrews, who ALSO say not to eat meat with dairy or to wear clothes with more than one fabric and to take SATURDAY off, NOT SUNDAY.

So, 3/10 commandments, especially as the 3 are all in codes that predate the bible, and have OTHER SOURCES as well, doesn't = "based upon".

Its like saying baseball is based upon bowling, because one has nine pins, the other has nine innings, there's round things involved, and people drink beer at both.

If you read the history of the times, the primary founding fathers such as Jefferson and Washington, were mostly NOT PRACTICING CHRISTIANS as much as they were different flavors of Deists...a popular religious trend at that time. You could view them as anti-clerical Christians at best, holding religious offices for political reasons, another popular position at the time. (IE: They will be listed in shallow references by whatever religion their parents were, but, its not what they practiced...and they went out of their way to AVOID Christian "values" in the framing of the country).

DNA is the answer, is it? God may work his hand through DNA but he is the one who holds our life in his hands.

So, about 1,000 year old people, etc....its about as likely as a talking snake, or a bronze age guy needing directions from god to build an ark, but, no directions on how to get 7 miles deep in the ocean to collect sulfur bacteria and deep sea fish, the amazon to collect hundreds of species of ants, or the knowledge of botany so he could get PLANTS (DOH, forgot to save the world's supply of plants, dagnabbit!), etc.

IE: Its all mythology...and its been killing gullible people, and their victims, for a long time.

Maybe he decided it was time for them to go. He's the one who's smarter then us (imo, but believe what you want) and I feel no need to question him when he kills somebody or lets somebody die.
