What have you got against Facebook?

@ Jaseth: You mean me ? ..... it's not something specific against "facebook" only, is just that i find ALL those so-called "social networking" sites absolutely "unhelpful" (and i say unhelpful only cause i'm educated, and self-censored against curses posted in public places ..... )

I can understand that "digital era" need also something better than ..... how can i say this ..... "a friends reunion in the local pub" ?, for socialization, and can accept that, as add-on, systems like these ones can be used, too ..... just can't accept the fact that, in these days, peoples (especially young ones) seems unable to socialize without a "social network account" ..... like as if one of them don't have a PC and a facebook/twitter/whatever account, don't exist .....

So, be sure, i have nothing personal against anyone that use them (except, maybe, a bit of compassion for the more extreme cases ), is just my personal feeling against all these sites, sorry.

Don't worry HIMNL9, I completely understand what you mean It worries be as well when I see some people who appear to spend half their day and 99% of their social life through some internet page or chat program
On the other hand I do feel it necessary to have at least an e-mail, messenger and facebook account. I have a lot of friends and family in 3 main countries as well as a few scattered out across maybe 20 others, so to me it is vital that I can leave a quick message or arrange a reunion or party without having to phone or visit every single person.. It does mean that I sometimes forget to see the few people who are in no way connected to any of these services, but I guess that is a sacrifice I have to make if I want to be able to see hundreds of others..

Btw, good to see even more people joining. John, you are going to be jealous when you see that pwnstar's girlfriend supports his hobby and thinks lasers are "awesome".
