look at what I caught Ice fishing today :)

I was fishing at a lake named semple (52 km south of Timmins). I was having good luck all day long, catching 3 pike in an hour. Then it went quite for about 2 hours. Then all of a sudden, my flag went up and before I got to my line, the fish managed to take out 200' of line. I set the hook and started to pull in my fish. It was dead weight at first then all soon as it hit the cold water, it took off. It took about 7 minutes to bring it in. The conclusion was that it turned out to be a lake trout measuring 27" and weighing in at just over 10lbs.

last t ime i fished, i got nothing else than a metal can. you seem much more lucky than am i.

ya when you get this far north (550 km north of Toronto) Ice fishing is our Olympics but I hope I catch another net week because that is when the fishing contest is. Thanks for all the compliments and good luck ranged for your next fishing trip.

Very nice catch. I go ice fishig about 3 times a week. I mainly catch perch, but occasionally Ill hook a pike or musky. But Im fishing out of a 7" hole with 4lb test, so they always get away.

Well it is possible catching a pike or musky on 4lb test but you definitely need a leader and a super loose, smooth drag, if you hook into one good luck. You gotta love winter perch, soo tasty. good luck

i never went ice fishing but i would love to do it sometime in my life ;( i live in a area where its not too cold and not too hot :(
