For those of you who keep up the sale forum, you know that I listed my PSP on ebay, and that the winner of the auction was using a stolen account.

But it gets even better, after Ebay deleted the auction and refunded my insertion fees, the "winner" contacts me via email.

Here's the first email:
Hi seller,
Am pleased to be the winner of this item and this item is Birthday gift for my son who study in west Africa...and i know you only ship within U S...it because am presently in New zealand for a business trips and i won't be back until next 7wks...so i've called the U S P S GLOBAL EXPRESS DELIVERY DEPARTMENT to know how much the item will cost to west africa...i was told $50.00 US {$50.00 US for the shipping}as i will be paying you via paypal....

Here is my son's address

Damilare Morgan
No 10 Olopo Str,Ile Ife
Osun,Nigeria 23406..

Get back to me as soon as possible cuz the payment will be made asap..

Cheers
(After the text was the original message from ebay that said he had won the auction.)

Then I got this fake PayPal email, with all the fake PayPal pics and stuff:

Does anyone else find this hilarious? ;D

I have to admit, back a year or two ago I may have taken the bait.

BTW, I have seen many auctions that say, "AND I WILL NOT SHIP TO YOUR SON IN NIGERIA, SO DON'T EVEN ASK!", so it must be a pretty common scam.

Ah, the old "send it and then paypoo will pay you" ploy.... Trouble is loads of people fall for it, if you look on the ebay forums you will see reams of sellers who have sent mobile phones to Nigeria and then discovered they have been scammed....

LOL, I just emailed them at the fake PayPal address:

CASE/ITEM #8443436534987

I'm sorry it took so long to ship! I've been really busy!

I have attached a pic showing the USPS receipt, I hope this is proof enough!

LOL. When scammers (or, more often, spammers on my forum and stuff) piss me off I usually subscribe their e-mail to a ton of newsletters and spam shit. That effectively screws an email account forever, you never see the bottom of the mailbox again.

Hey, you know what? You should really send him a package but instead of a PSP, draw the PSP on a piece of paper.

Yeah right, shipping would probably cost over $10.

Last time I looked at it, it was only about $50US or so. The fun part is claiming on customs that it's worth $300+. They have to pay the customs fees to get cardboard! ;D :D ;) ;D ::)

My friend Emailed it to me today, according to the Email, the bird is Scottish. He goes in the store, grabs a bag of Doritos, and goes share it with his buddies. Some customers have begun paying for a bag just so the clerk will leave the door open so they can watch him.
