Provided I do the best to handle the heat, it should be able to handle the discharge right?

It's a 400mah AA type.


I just want to make sure before I try it.

I have no idea how big an Electromagnet you're talking about. Start by explaining what you are doing with it and what size. Are you driving it with something? Do you have current control?.... Are you planning to dead short the cell?

Too many questions come up. EXPLAIN
