As awful as that seems, I have been told that they are treated ever worse at the sort facilities.

So the long "processing" time in shipping is when they are playing football and soccer with our hundred dollar packages. :na::crackup:

Its due to the inflation and recession, resulting in job cuts..
because of that the work load has been greatly increased, One person has to do work instead of two or maybe three..and man we are lazy..
Now if you dont work twice as much ..companies dont need you.. they'll hire a qualified asian, he would work ten times more, is qualified, and don't have much demands, they will even work on a sunday.. Companies need people like these to face the recession and compensate them from bankrupting/loses.

I do work at Fed Ex and UPS sorting facilities in Salt Lake and have not seen any abuse of packages what so ever. The sorters are not that bad, I just received (FedEx) and sent out (UPS) a neon sign and it arrived here and in Portland OR in great shape.

There are a lot of dumb asses out there!
I seem to meet a few every day and it really amazes me when some of them can actually walk and chew gum at the same time.

There was a UPS guy that hit a couple of cars last year and left the seen, his defense was "They were in my way and shouldn't have been there". Needless to say he is not working for UPS anymore!
