I purchased a certified pair of eagle pair laser goggles from survival laser USA. I only use them for a 462nm 1.7 watt laser, but I have been thinking about building a green laser. The suggested use for the goggles are 190-540nm. Would it be very safe to just use the pair of goggles I have now for a green laser or would that work even though my goggles are recommended for blue lasers?

Hi Misterplw
Welcome to the forum.
They will be fine to use with a green laser in the range of ~ 520nm to 532nm as their range goes to 540nm

Often the peak of the od rating is near the center of the nm range 190-540 so they may well be most effective around 365nm but as they are good quality they should cover all the way to 540nm however their rating may be shaped like a mountain on a graph between 190 and 540.

I would think you are good for 50-100mw of 515-532 but I would read the specs and if you are building a 1 watt 520 I would make sure.

I found this for Eagle Pair 190-540
