Has anyone else ever thought about what would happen if we all met each other one day? If we all come to the place? Who would you want to talk to the most, who would you be most curious just to see? Would the ones without goggles survive the night. lol jk ;D
Seriously though, who would you want to talk to the most, who would you be most curious just to see? :cool:

Well....there are a few former members I wouldn't mind rounding up (dang that inside voice coming out again) BUt other than just good hearted head thumping, I think I would like to meet everyone - like in a huge auditorium, and everyone takes their turn on stage...." Hi, I'm SenKat...I am a Laser addict....I have no chance of recovery...." and maybe do a little demo with all the beasties lined up at once....O...M....G....can you IMAGINE the photo that would make ? WOW !!  I am still pi$$ed at myself for not suggesting a laser group photo when Windstrings was down my way....woulda looked pretty sharp all that green and red headed out to space at the same time.....

my previous thread about Skype is kinda like this.. except with microphones and webcams instead of being in real life.

Oooooo - not on topic here, but in Downtown (the tourist area - near the Alamo) San Antonio, they opened up a permanent "funhouse" with mirrors, etc....this was actually the day that Windstrings left San Antonio - my wife and I hung out downtown a little bit longer after they left, and found this place...I spoke to the guy running it, and he pulled back the curtain long neough for me shine my Nexus at floor level - it looked AWESOME - went on forever, gave the whole place a very errie glow...sorry, it just sprang back into my mind when you were talking about the foggy hall of mirrors !

Back in grade 8 we went to this carnival with school for halloween, and they had a hall of mirrors, so one of my "friends" shines my leadlight 15mw into it when it is crowded, it looks like endless lighsabers, but it got in people's eye's, including mine. Not much fun. :mad: People run out pissed, trip, get hurt. Furtunatly he got away, and I got my laser back form him.

Well, if anyone lives, or visits, close to Ottawa, Canada, you are welcome to visit me. :D

It might be high dreaming to get everyone here in one place since this forum is international, but dreaming is fun too. :) As the membership builds, it may be possible to have regional get-togethers.

I build Tesla coils as another hobby, and when you get a bunch of hobbyists together it can be great fun. If "Laserthons" are as much fun as "Teslathons" (and I can't see why they wouldn't be) I'd definitely go to one within a couple hundred miles. "BYOL". ;D

I don't have any reservations or preferences as to who I would want to meet.

Thats kind of what I was leading to. Realistically we won't all be able to get together. Small groups that live close together are a differant story. If people could post, the general region were you live we could possibly get regonal gathering. I'll start, I am in eastern Canada.

Wow, we ARE scattered all over the place, aren't we? Here's where I am in California. Just follow the 50KW laser beacon. ;D If you're passing by or through, gimme a holler.

What happend to the idea of a gathering? We could all rent a hall of mirror and meet there. :D Imagine us focusing ALL our laser onto one spot! A blinding beam of white that vaporizes everything in its path! ;D

i was there like a month ago, and i was in victorville like last weekend. i go to a lot of shooting matched over there, im living in vegas.

A lot of laserists seem to be in Texas for whatever reason. I visited Gadg around here back when he was still around as his place wasn't far from my GF out here near Denton. I once sold some TECs on eBay to some guy in Dallas and he said he wanted them for work with a CO2 laser. Then there's the other people outside of the DFW area like SenKat and Windstrings I guess (actually, isn't windstrings also DFW?). No idea why so many Texans are laserholics, but it sounds like it may be a good place for a laserholics anonymous meeting.
