It's back again... I can remember last year like it was yesterday. Other than some real kick'in pics, anyone have some suggestions on how one could safely utilize some beamz this 4th?:beer:

All that particulate matter in the air should amount to some schweet shots. I wish I lived down from jayrob... I know he'll be showin off.

I'll be with some friends in the middle of nowhere MO, with several scanners (2X 1.2W 532nm systems, a 500mW 445nm system and a 500mW whitelight) and a few hundred dollars worth of mortar shells and other pyro stuff. Should be a good time as always. I just bought an FB3 from Pangolin for controlling the lasers.. it'll be the first time I use it in front of people.. 4th of July is my all-time favorite holiday.

I'll be using my PGL-M with the beam expander to see how far I can light fireworks from :eg:. I might even try and make a makeshift mount so it fits on my spyder III. I bet that'll light em from ~50ft if I can get the focus right.

Doesn't your city have a fireworks show? You could just point your lasers at that smoke... carefully haha. I would be depressed if my city banned fireworks.

im hoping to make some kno3 (potassium nitrate) and sugar crystals sort of my own idea i guess. just think rock candy but not for eating lol. and ill use some to make some great smoke bombs.

Yes I made them. Though the ones I made this year seem to be a bit louder

Think it's because the tubes are a little bit thicker, and maybe because I used chinese KClO4 instead of domestic.
I might sell a few locally

Shipping these might be DISASTROUS :undecided: lol

I do plan to though

Last year I put a ping pong ball bomb in a watermelon (yes a ping pong ball filled with flash powder

) and it literally rained watermelon on us LOL

BTW I got that ping pong ball bomb on a reservation here for $35

I'm glad I started making my own for $55 made me around 35 bombs

Much better investment, even though much riskier

ahhh, good old flash powder....

I sometimes use stuff I find at a hobby store to make some big fireworks, but for safety purposes I will not post the details here. Gotta work for it!

I'm moving like 2 days after the 4th, but if I'm lucky it'll involve lots of lasers, fire, explosions and class III fully automatic weaponry.
