no problem, interested myself to hear back from members on these LPMs. they seem like a good product but not heavily advertised or known by many. too bad, just read a great review on one the other day

Just got an email from him. He was on vacation, so all is well.
When I get the LPM I'll do a quick review and then take a reading of a stable pointer and send it to one of the members that has a high end LPM.

If I have my ophir unit from ARG by then id be happy to do it and heavily document my tests. Shipping would be quick too since im home in MA this summer

Let me know when you get your LPM and want to have your laser double checked and ill let you know if ARG finished my LPM unit yet. Have the ophir sensor just waiting on the actual to be finished

Will do. I don't know how backed up Johan is but I will let you know. It's not the laser I'm checking it's the LPM.
So I will be sending the most stable one I have, with all the info, amp draw etc.

yeah, i know. meant it as the laser is staying constant so your testing the laser, which in turn tests the accuracy of the LPM. sorry was on my phone so tried to keep it short and sweet.
Ophir arrived yesterday and i just got home and opened it, HOLY COW! this thing is smaller than i was expecting, $200 for pretty much a 1" x 1" x 1" box bahahaha
So excited to hear back from ARG on when he will have his units ready

Yeah, I know when I was looking at the spec sheet and saw the drawings I was shocked at how small it is. I tried to find a price for one on Ophir's web site but it' a call for information situation. One unit they did show a price for was a IR unit and it was $999.
