I think to make this easy we should have two threads going- the first will be a list of donated items to encourage even more help while I know this forum will do all they can maybe this way we can generate even more.

Just post what you would like to offer and I will maintain the list in the OP we already have an offer from Matt (Moh) for both a 'prize' and a donation.
It can be store credit or credit towards some service-- items need not be laser related... but keep them small andf light weight tho as each donator will be responsible for the shipping.

For now we cannot set up the cash donations because of a problem with the PP acct. for James- it may be better if he opens a new one just for this. That thread will go up soon.

I need FB from you about how much the minumum donation should be to enter the fundraiser (PLZ remember to never call this a ra44le)
I feel that many of the prizes will be of great value so I am leaning towards a 20$ per entry with no limit on the number of times one can donate. Of course any donations of any size will be appreciated as well as donations with no need to be in the drawing- thats your choice. just be sure to note that.

Let me know who you all feel and we will let the majority rule.. same for any other suggestions. James faces surgery this week and in 6 days he will have a birthday -- certainally not his best one either.

The winners will be chosen by another vet ( not me) using Random .com
The donators names will remain fixed numbers and the prizes will be randomally chosen and matched to the names/numbers - so it matters not if you have three in a row of staggered just send James what you can when you can and he will help me sort out the list later- BE SURE to post AFTER you Have PP your donation- we need both the amt. and the first part of your PP addy- we do not need what comes after the "@" send ONLY as PERSONAL/GIFT
or fees will be taken by PP and you will not be entered into the pool... sorry. But those who forget to do this will have a chance so send more.
But please try to remember that and the no use of the 'R" word- PP considers this to be illegal gambling.

I don't think there should be a minimum, as that would miss out on people who are willing to donate a dollar or two but may not have enough for a given limit.

I'll come up with something, if i cant think of anything cool I'll just put in a cash prize or gift card to somewhere.

I have a second thought about the Big Boy laser which I am offering for the prizes. I could contribute much more if I sell it separately and donate the fund to James.

@ Moh we tried that approach before and it just did not work out-
sorry I think at least $10 or we get into a donator wanting 20 chances for 20$ while others only want one chance for $20.. so then it gets crazy. will wait for more FB.

these prizes so far merit more than a dollar chance-

maybe $5 each chance would work- worth considering for sure.

I don't mind. This BigBoy laser is beneficial to James so you could use it a main prize or make a separately sale thread. I only want that the winner pays the shipping as it is not a small laser.

For now I leave the laser in this fundraising to attract as much participants.

Blord your completely correct- we will not be doing this without assuring that the total raised will be less than the value of all the donated items combined, in fact this should be a total much higher . This way we will be getting the maximum amount for that Big Boy- and be able to have the best benifit for James.
