So i have a jailbreaked ipod touch, yea its cool, little neat features here and there, but after seeing the psp again as i sold my old one,i was thinking why i bought an ipod touch in the first place. I really want the crisis core psp bundle ^^ (FF VII fanboy here) off ebay there were only 77,777 crisis core psp's made :p. So im thinking of selling my touch but i want some opinions first. You all know the psp's features, slim is faster and tv out and crap. Touch is the iphone without the phone, and 16gb of space.

What i hate about psp

- internet browser is so painful to use
- music interface is less then impressive compared to the touch of course
- gotta buy them mem cards  :-/
- no youtube, but through homebrew this is possible, but its slow and ghey -_-
- not a wide variety of GOOD games
- im going to play pirated games off my mem stick so il need alot of space (im cheap)

what i like about psp

- crisis core bundle ^^
- big screen
- better for watching videos
- play ps1 games, =]]]]

What i hate about the touch

- its expensive
- no games =[ cept the emulators i have, and using the controls thru touch is really hard
- psp screen is bigger
- no flash -_-, hopefully flash support in future updates

what i like about the touch

- safari is so easy to use compared to the psp's browser
- i kinda like the GUI, with coverflow and what not
- small, 16gb of space i only have 2 gb of music
- youtube !
- able to add apps on springboard through hax
- more ppl have psp's then touch's so you feel special =]

I need some opinions, i am so torn up between this decision, the auction ends soon, so opinions please!
im basically half games, half music and videos, and overall sexy slim device

Uhm, hate to break it to you but watch your iPod on wifi areas. If you look carefully in the information provided it will even say that they WILL brick you iPod. They do this when you enter a new wifi area and it will communicate with Apple and will force brick it and give you an error message. ::)

But other then that both are great things but over all with that much music I would say go for the PSP! :D

Well I just heard this from a certified Apple/iPod technician that works at our Geek Squad center so I don't personally know too much about it. I'm sure a Google search will help you out.

i have a JB ipod and i use it at different wifi locations including school, home, resaraunts, etc. i have never heard of anyone's ipod bricking because of different wifi connections
that said

is there any way you could keep the ipod and buy the psp also
or sell something else instead?

iPod Touch = iPhone with less features.
iPhone = a poor and pointless rip-off for a phone.

I recently had my phone upgraded and earlier this year planned on getting an iPhone, until they announced a full retail price and large 18 month tariff to go with. I ended up getting a 80GB iPod Classic with unlocled volume (a must have for me) and a Sony Ericsson K850i...way more features than iPhone and outperforms it on what little the iPhone has. Really don't see the point in an iPod Touch at all!

If you want a good mp3-player, get an Archos 605. It's got Wifi with internet (and flash compatibility, too!), 800*480 touch, plays (720p!!!) and records video, capacity up to 160GB, and rather cheap (as some addons are sold separately).

Still, some might consider it a bit large...

seriously guys, who has an ipod touch? Makes ya special, im still thinking about getting a psp ><, probably too late to get that crisis core bundle off ebay :p. Still i have the touch, its just so nifty, the first time you use it, its like wow! But then its like meh... Same with the PSP tho, but back then, my firware was too high to hack, so i sold it, but oh my frickin god, a new exploit was released using the game lumines, and guess what the only game, THE ONLY GAME I HAD, was you guessed it lumines -_-, and i had sold it the day before the exploit was released, so.... yeah i was super mega pissed, oh well :p, just wanted to share that.

btw toked23, how much would u buy it for if i did sell it? Bought it for 500 dollars Canadian at FutureShop.

P.S. woot canadian dollar is higher then the U.S. dollar xD
