So I'm curious what are the investments that forum members are in? I have been investing in stocks for the most part and mainly have been buying and selling the stock PAL. My fiance's ring that I bought is made of palladium which is what got me interested in PAL. Just today I sold 2500 shares of the stock at $3.20 and am hoping the price goes down due to gold, platinum and palladium prices going down.

I used to be investing a lot into lasers but as of recently my sales have been slow so I'm branching into other investments. I have in stock a ton of lasers which are all for sale. It's just a matter of time before people buy them.

If anyone is interested in buying some lasers let me know.

I've got a good chunk in mutual funds by Raymond James under their "aggressive" profile. Haven't been too impressed with the results, but the value hasn't dropped below what I initially put in. I think I'm only getting an average of 4% or so. Haven't checked recently.

Given the economy, it's understandable :(

sirius satellite radio is something that has made me a little bit over the years. it fluctuates wildly. right now is near all time low because howard stern hasn't anounced if he is going to sign a new contract. and by low i mean well below a dolar as compared to over $9 when he signed the first time.

right now if you bought it would purely be a gamble based on the fact you hope he re-signs.

CREE and FRG have both been good perfomers for me this year. You may recognize CREE from the flashlights many of us gut to make lasers.

BOSTON -- The co-chairs of President Obama's debt and deficit commission offered an ominous assessment of the nation's fiscal future here Sunday, calling current budgetary trends a cancer "that will destroy the country from within" unless checked by tough action in Washington.

I pulled everything (except a 401K that I cant touch) out of the market 3 years ago,
now I invest in the 3 B's and a little place in the mountains.

Isn't 401k the same amount John has in the film Die hard 4? Just reminded me of the film lol.

I don't really invest in anything, I'll be going of to University soon and don't have much time to study stock markets :)

Bullion is nice but I missed the last turn over the top. Never mind, things will go back in the right direction soon. It's turned at least 20% in the last couple of years which is not bad. No VAT on gold bullion for those interested in the UK and no capital gains tax either so the only losses are the commission at either end. The real benefit though is it's comparative stability. Sure it ebbs and flows but doesn't tend to crash in quite the same way stocks can. It's also a direct cash exchange you can make at almost any place in the world. The intrinsic value of a rare commodity! I love it! However, the plan is really as a savings mechanism to build on as I move through to that rainy day.

I rarely sell . . . I only buy dividend stocks and ETFs.

Getting in big with ETFs as of late, caught some preferred on the down blip . . . really awesome, pays a dividend every month . . .
