Does anybody here feel like being introverted has affected yourself at work? I keep feeling like I'm being pushed to be somebody I'm not. It happens outside of work too but not nearly as bad. There are days I wish I could just walk out and not go back until a later time, if at all.

I'm pretty good at faking it now if I have to. School was bad tough. Awkward and confusing. Felt like a Chameleon sometimes trying to fit in.

I'm actually not sure about one part of this. I mean I'm fairly certain I'm an introvert, but I do have a tendency to reflect and amplify emotions around me.

In terms of being shy... I'm very shy. I just act like I'm not.

Perhaps amplifying and reflecting emotions around you is a sign of sensitivity.

I think being forced to interact socially ie; work, etc we all wear a facade of some sort to cope/fit in

Ok what the hell Sig - I'll fight you for the rights to say that was my dream first!

I'll race you there if you prefer... :na:

Heh, how about we meet up there instead, and share a bottle of Brennivin?

So close and yet, too far.

Between the lines of socializing.

Has anybody else had roommates? It's something I think about once in a while. I like having my privacy and being able to walk around in my birthday suit if I want. At the same time, having one would save me and the other person some money.

ETA: I've been told by one person multiple times to find an Asian girlfriend. This person said it would might help ease the situation for both of us since we'd be in an awkward situation. Her not speaking English very well and me being introvert... One of the first things I think of is that not Asians have problems speaking English. Especially if they've been in the US for a while or their whole life. Talk about a weird situation to be in. The person that said this is a female and it was brought up while at work.
