Injury thread

Today i was chopping a trail in the near by forest, and my knife slipped out of my hand ( i know, im stupid.) and went through my shoe, and cut allll the way to the tendon and severed it. After yelling a few four letter words, i got a cast, stitches, crutches, and im getting surgery wednesday...
i wanted to know what are some injuries you guys have had?

I was hit by a car last year she ran red and I broke by arm leg a all of the toes on my right foot but it could be worse I could be paralyzed or dead.:cryyy:

I've had a hell of a time with injuring myself.

So far I've:
- Been in a head on car crash
- Impaled myself on a construction star-picket (removing my appendix)
- Shattered my coccyx (tailbone) in a skating accident (was temporarily paralyzed and can't sit comfortably anymore)
- Got hairline fractures in both wrists and ankles from skating
- Fallen in a manhole and had a nail go through my shin into the bone.
- Put my hand through a commercial tomato slicer (basically cutting my fingers into paper thin slices from tip to knuckle)
- Had multiple piercings ripped out (worst ones were in my septum and bridge)
- Had the back of my neck sliced open with a razor blade
- Had a razor slice from my elbow to wrist (on the back of my arm)
- had the head of a nail puncture through my knee and out the other side.
- And I've sliced my thumb almost clean off with a Stanly knife.

There's more but they're the worst.

my friends dad(a airplane tech) had a airplane start behind him and the propellers hit him severing several things in his neck he cannot feel half his back but is lucky he was not paralyzed

Personally I have not had many injuries, mostly cuts on my hands.
However, I gashed my left hand open with a dremel (8 stitches), I buckle-fractured a bone in my wrist, and some shrapnel from an explosion skimmed my shoulder, making a shallow gash.

Yes luckly, my hand went through horizontally so the bone stopped the blades from hitting any nerves. Took a 2mm chip out of 3 of my finger bones too. My hand is less sensitive than it used to be but fully functioning.

I'll add my partner had our cat bite though their finger only a month or 2 ago. One fang went through the edge of the nail and out the tip.

So we're pretty accident prone in this house.

Haven't had anything serious in years. Got lucky with one gash that barely missed a tendon.

There is great protective gear online, really cheap compared to injuries.

Well, I'm not very accident prone compared to some off the people here but, here goes

-Cut my thumb to the bone almost slicing off my tendon with a stanly knife
-Broke both of my arms in a bike accident, I hit a newspaper, then it made me swerve into a fence and I flew a couple of feet before I landed on concrete, lol.
-Got stabbed with a pencil (one of those "wtf?!?!" moments
-Hit my head on the side of a table and had blood dripping on the floor.
-Fell off a bike and severly scraped my knee's, elbow's and forehead.

Last saturday I was cycling downhill and I wanted to reach the highest speed. In 33 mph when I came into curve I fell and broke helmet, cut jacket and trousers, also my face, legs, hands all my body. Cause of this I'm staying few days home and check FPF. It didn't hurt so much but I look very bad.

i was skating a couple years ago, and i reached 40mph, slipped off the board and came out looking like a burn victim i rolled around 10yrds until i stopped

Yet. I'm trying for it.

I've also:
- Had a paddling board crack me in the chin breaking my jaw and splitting my head open on the bricks on the edge of the pool when I was 8.
- Skating down a hill at ~50Kms and hit a rock, flew a couple of meters and ripped the skin off 60% of my chest and back.
- Been KO'd by a baseball being thrown to 2nd base.

-As a little kid i stumbled while running and got a hole in my head when i hit a drawer...that was shocking!
-I nearly stripped the flesh from my right middlefinger when i slipped off a ladder and tried to hang on a cablebridge.
-One time i felt backwards trough a glassdoor and got an big splinter of glass stuck in my shin.
-I had a realy bad day when i seceded from the catholic church...i ran and tried to jump over a taut chain, when my left foot got caught up in that chain...i hit the pavement with my face and a bit of my front thooth broke out. :angel:
....But i never even got a broken bone

Anyone know anything about hydrocodone? i got some for the pain. ( that doesn't exist) i severed all the nerves too what are the side-effects? in your experiences?
