Car audio enthusiasts use capacitors to filter battery fluctuations and allow for higher peak current, especially to bass, but it doesn't improve much - only lowering noise slightly, and perhaps allowing higher volume.

I suspect that the audiophile's capacitors are a bit more powerful, though, they use in the order of 0.5-10F, which is too large to fit in an attachment the size of the neo.

I used to have a 1000W amp hooked up to 2 12" subs in my trunk. When I bought a 1 farad capacitor and hooked it up very close to my amp, it did improve the sound and it also prevented my headlights from dimming when the subs hit hard.

Kind of reminds me of the dude who made the ebay listing of some 30x beam exander claiming it is like magic, you shine a 1W laser into it and you have a 30W power output.
People these days will think of anything to make quick cash. Except things that actually work since the effort used will defeat the 'quick' cash scenario.

It doesnt have to do with capacitors. The thing is, it will take the cigarette lighter socket, preventing you from smoking in the car. That, in turn, will prevent you from driving with the window open, which -does- result in about 10% fuel savings when driving at speed
Doesnt work for non smokers or people that have a lighter, though, but thats the smallprint.

I have found that I can improve my MPG by 18%....if I moved to a warmer area that doesn't get snow or get below 40 degrees F.
IT's kind of funny. I get
23-25MPG (mixed) in the winter
27-29MPG (mixed) in the summer.
I have a Scion TC (Manual Trans) and this is my first car where the outside temperature actually makes a big difference in my MPG. I can't quite figure it out.

This and also one factor which is often forgotten is engine temperature dependency. Internal combustion engines (mainly NA cars) tend to produce a deal more power when the air outside is colder (denser). If the air/fuel computer isn't all that sophisticated the ratio inside the combustion chamber can fluctuate quite drastically depending on season.
