My roommate just gave me a 14 day notice that she was moving out and that she will not be paying her share of next months rent.

I would like to get $550 for it.

Here is the statistics.

Windows Vista Home Premium 64bit
Intel Q6600 2.4ghz quad core processor
Asus motherboard
4 gig DDR3
ATI Radeon 4870 1 GB DDR5
DVDRW
1TB HD
TV Tuner
Wireless networking card
550PSU
Keyboard and wireless mouse included

Antec 300 series Case
Newegg.com - Antec Three Hundred Illusion Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Let me know what you think.

edit:
This is similar to my motherboard.
Same brand and Chipset....Just a couple of things are different. Mine is a higher end version of this one. Wifi is built into the Mobo and is B/G. It actually has worked great for me.
ASUSTeK Computer Inc. - Motherboards- ASUS P5Q3

Processor
HH80562PH0568M Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield LGA775 2.4GHz 1066MHz FSB 2x 4MB L2 105W 65nm Quad-Core Processor - OEM Orbit Micro

Same ram, Different heat spreader. also 4 gig, not 8. I'm not 100% sure on this though. I will have to check when I get home.
Newegg.com - G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1066 (PC3 8500) Desktop Memory Model F3-8500CL7D-8GBRL

Asus 4870 1gb
Newegg.com - ASUS EAH4870/HTDI/1G Radeon HD 4870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

I think that this is the right HD....IT's at least the right brand and size.
Newegg.com - Western Digital Caviar Black WD1001FALS 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive

I think that this is the right PSU
Newegg.com - COOLER MASTER eXtreme Power Plus RS-550-PCAR-E3 550W ATX12V V2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Power Supply

This is the keyboard, but mine is well use, but still in good condition.
Microsoft Reclusa Gaming Keyboard

Mouse is similar to this, but not exactly the same.
Newegg.com - Logitech M705 Black 1 x Wheel USB RF Wireless Laser Marathon Mouse

If I am missing something, just let me know...I am at work right now.

The tuner is a ATI wonder 600 hd pro....I think?

Although it would probably be better for some one to pick it up from your place then to have you ship it to them, shipping costs will be huge and you dont know what that evil postman will do with the box :D

Re: I'm thinking about selling my computer

The problem is you can get a decent laptop for under $400.

IMO $350-$400 should sell it quick.

I'll delete this post if you want Heath.

Re: I'm thinking about selling my computer

And that will always be the hard part about selling a custom made computer. I was looking and for an OEM system, you can get an 8000 series intel quad, 1tb hard drive, dvd drive, etc. desktop for 5-550 dollars. Obviously that doesn't include a video card, wireless keyboard and mouse, tv tuner, custom case, and unlocked bios though.

I'm not saying 550 is a bad price, I stand by my comment saying it's a good deal, but you have to take things into consideration.

I bought my computer over a year ago, was a gateway tower with an i3 2.9ghz dual core, 1tb hard drive, 6gb ddr3, windows 7, etc.

I have since bought an i5-760 quad core cpu for $200, an additional 2gb of ddr3 to max it out, an ATI 5770 ($150) that I replaced this year with an Nvidia evga GTX 570 for $370 bucks. I could maybe get 700 bucks for my computer if I were forced at gunpoint to sell it.

It's true, you can get a cheaper computer, but it still won't perform the same as this one. I actually used Quality brands in it too....like, Asus, Intel, Gskill, WD

Let me post all of this out more clearly. Give me a few hours

I don't know exactly where you live, but I did an estimate on UPS.com and it came up with $60 for shipping a 40lb box. I personally don't think that's that bad. I'd hate to have to ship it that far though.

Re: I'm thinking about selling my computer

I gave a PC once to someone who lived 1200 miles away, out of kindness. But, the hassle of shipping it, and the cost of packaging and shipping it, were way out of proportion to it's value.

I hope that you do sell it here for a good price, and that the shipping is not to onerous, but...

Have you considered using Craiglist, and doing a face-to-face sale for cash dollars only?

Re: I'm thinking about selling my computer

Don't sell your computer we still want to type at you, what you need to do is get another room mate
put an add in the paper or somewhere and pick and chose till you find a good one :)
