If You're Not Passing Get The **** Out of the Left Lane

I drive all day and it's amazing how many people don't know that they are supposed to do it. (mostly younger - sorry but true)

THe other ones are the soccer moms and people on cells, grannies.

Both of my personal cars will do about 150mph. I don't do that, but I usually don't want to wait for someone doing 45 in a 60 zone. If you want to take a leisurely cruise, get in the right lane.

Personally I find young people aren't so bad. Unless they are on a cell phone.

In general they are either already speeding and I don't need to pass them, or they are attentive enough to assume I'm a cop and get out of the way.

The worst problems are with people who just don't pay any attention. All the time I see soccer moms, or old farts (no offense to any of you lol, I'll be one someday too hopefully) who jump out into the left lane, and just slow down.

I hate being behind a car, and there is a mile of open road ahead of them:banghead:

I kind of wish there was a way to just remind people to check their mirrors every few seconds as they are supposed to.

Seriously... why is it so hard for people to just be nice, and stay out of the left lane when not passing?

This was me driving to work today, stuck behind one of those mini eco golfcarts that kept pacing a semi...

Heh, well, if you're gonna bring back the dead, might as well start with your own first. :tinfoil:

This is just one of the things I encounter every day when I drive to and from work.

people that go to the right lane when turning left and those that counterflow just to pass a long line of cars given the opportunity.

Well... I saw 2 guys that need a slap in the back of the
head so that they will remember that they are entitled
to another one if they do the same A$$hole maneuvers
again...

The laws on these things vary so much. Even here in Aus it varies by state. Where I live, you can travel in any lane you want. Of course it's common sense if you're gonna turn left, be in a left lane, etc, but you don't have to keep the right lane clear. However, people DO generally follow that idea, for one it means if an emergency vehicle needs to pass, they don't have to jump between cars spread everywhere, but also you always get those dickheads that feel they need to go 20km/h over the limit and overtake everyone.

I find the laws funny sometimes, one thing that is debated quite often here in Aus is if you're sitting at a red light, and an emergency vehicle comes up behind you lights and sirens blaring, do you cross the line and enter the intersection to let it pass? (Assuming it's safe, of course). You can get fined for obstructing an emergency vehicle, but then you could also get fined for running a red light. Confusing :D

I honked my horns at them letting them know they're being an a$shole.

And yes, I have truck and train horns on my car. :)

Oh you have no idea how many times my horns saved me from an accident. I've had the truck horns since 2008 or so, added the train horns in 2010 and all are used daily in my commutes. I use the stock horn when I'm in a residential area, the truck horn for daily commutes everywhere else, and the train horn for the a$sholes. :D I just had the cam since last year.

Cab drivers are @$$holes no matter where in the world you are. At least they aren't slow, or oblivious (for the most part).
