This is how I normally received packages from OSHpark. Usually takes a day. Lake Oswego is literally 30 minutes from where I live.

What in the hell is going on here?

Been to two Portland zip codes, and now it's at Seaside Oregon which is 2 hours away?.... I don't understand their logic or what's going on here at all.

And these are my new driver boards which, of course, I'm dying to test but I can't if I don't have them!!

Another incident with USPS happened when my girlfriend ordered a used S5 off of eBay. It kept on saying "Delivery attempted" and "notice left" but there was never any attempts at delivery, nor any notices.

So, after two days of this we finally decide to go to the local post office sorting warehouse.

Turns out that it was trying to be delivered to a *completely* different address in my area, because the barcode on the package was, for some reason, being read incorrectly by their machines. The address on the box itself was correct, but because of the barcode it wasn't being sent to the right place. :undecided:

I send a package to a guy in russia one time (sold a few diodes on ebay). It got returned to be a few weeks later saying the guy was red flagged and couldn't receive mail from the U.S....Sooooo yea that was neat.

In terms of just poor service, I took a package to the PO one time, watched them scan it, and got the receipt (which unfortunately i tossed), then a few weeks later the guy I was shipping to PM'ed me and was like "yo wheres ma stuff," and I checked the tracking...and poof. It didn't exist. Label created, nothing else. You can imagine I was super stoked about that!

I swear priority mail 2 day mail takes longer for me than first class.

Especially from the west to the east coast?

it always takes 4 or 5 days.

onetime I had something from CA simply disappear for like a week.

If you think that's weird, then wait for my thread about the laser I bought from Alex (Tha Greenlander) and how it went from the US, to The Netherlands, to Canada and back to The Netherlands. Now hope it actually does arrive

USPS has really been sucking since the recent major changes they made. I made a call about this. They said the package has not been dropped off...... I bought a part for my phone off of Ebay. I sent the seller a message. The city shown in the tracking was the item location. The description says China though. :/ I just want my damn part.

Also some strange story:

USPS --> US to Germany

Have bought some small lens from a US eBay seller some years back. Usually it takes a around two weeks until the stuff arrives at my house (or local customs). This time it took around three months and all what I got was some totally scrumbled small package/mailer wrapped in plastic with some small letter attached:

text was like the following:

Dear customer,

we bla bla bla appologize... but your package got stucked in the sorting facility (if I remember correctly was close to some AF base). We've wrapped it due to security/shipping reasons... if something got lost or is broken we kindly apologize for this.

That's it... just an empty envelope with some traces of oil and rubber...

They didn't lie - Obviously it has stucked in the sorting facility for a long long time.

As there was no ensurance my money was gone - but the eBay seller just send me another one for free. This is why I do like doing business with US suppliers.

Not usps specifically, because I am in the UK, but a bizarre postal story nonetheless.. A year or so ago when I ordered my 445nm 1.6W from laserbtb, it shipped from China and made it to the UK in a few days. It then sat in Motherwell (city in Scotland) for over a week (9 days I think) before I got it. I received it on the very last day of the shipping "window" right at the end of the day. It's not the first time either where I've had post take longer to move through the UK than it does to get from the other side of the world.

How about when you buy something from a seller on ebay and the tracking says delivered, but you didn't get it. Try to open a case for non-delivery when that happens and see what you get, a message showing when it was delivered!

I've had that happen before. Most of the time its on a Saturday and I believe they just want to go home early and don't make all there stops. I started to notice this when I would get mail ever other Saturday. :tsk:

I ordered a SXD 4.0A from Jeff in Dec/2014 from his po it went to the wrong po and to this day I'm still waiting. Maybe one day I'll get a surprise I the mail. But for now until someone notices the parcel kicked under a shelf it will be in Limbo for sometime. Maybe the xdrive angel will find it for me...
