I've been banned too!

I rarely post on thier forum as I know they only support WL products... even though they recently changed thier name so they don't appear to be a Wicked Laser storefront.
They must be extremely jealous and threatened by Laserglow products.

Wow!...... I simply put my post about "New Hercules Goodies" on the WL forum ..... now if I go to thier page......

They just dig deeper and deeper!..... how can anybody be so foolish to believe thier brainwashing by not allowing any of the competetion to be mentioned on thier site?
They seem to only allow other manufacturers to be mentioned if its in the context of making their WL products look better.

I believe every product has its pros and cons..... but its quite funny when they use "microsoft" tactics to try and eliminate the competition by banning anyone who mentions or praises another product!.... LOL!...

I guess I would be afraid too if I were in thier position... it would be a real shame to have to get a real job!

I was only suspicious of thier integrity before...... now I'm sold they are crooked and deceitful!....

I have been gracious in the past to hold back my suspicions about them to the full degree and have only "hinted" around that they are questionable......and I have not been so rude as to do it on thier own forum, but rather only here...... but now they have proved me correct!
I do believe its rude to talk about somebody in thier own house.. but since I'm not in thier house anymore and in fact am banned... I guess they made me thier enemy so I can talk freely without guilt.

I have been nothing but polite on thier forum and my only crime was to praise another product!....

If you go back and research my posts, you will see I have not even posted in the last several months with the exception of mentioning my results from my two new lasers... the Herc and the dragon.... both of which threaten what quality of steaks they can put on thier dinner table!

I will now make it my personal agenda to expose them for who they really are...... I guess in thier case "The truth hurts! LOL! "
I think it must have really upset them to see others get excited about another product from thiers!

Anyone who bans someone for something so simple is pretty insecure and hiding a big scam they don't want exposed.

Hey.. if their product is worthy.. it can stand the heat and the competition... but they "know" it can't and is threatened big time!

I just feel sorry for all those who are scammed by thier products!

Its always quite interesting how the truth always comes out... and they wonder why they have so much trouble with people badmouthing them.......... too bad thier little kingdom is crumbling........ and justly so.

I challenge them to show me where I broke any rules they have.... its it against the law to mention another vendor is making a policy change and giving away goodies with new and recent purchases?

Why don't he just post openly that other products are not allowed to be discussed and I would have honored that request????? instead... they try to act like an unbiased forum that favors WL to the extreme giving the newbie the impression they are versed in "all" lasers and the WL are somehow superior?

I've come to the conclusion the only thing they are superior in is the high dollar they charge for those who fall prey to thier unsuspecting propaganda.

The only people you will see defending them are those who work for them, sell them, or have bought them and have been brainwashed into thinking its the best...... reminds me of a false religion, the deception is so deep....

So sad for a company that had so much promise at one time, but got corrupted by the high profits and greed.
At one time they were the laser "icon".... now they just live off thier name while thier reputation falters with the quality of their products.....

I'm sure they are trying to milk this gig for all its worth as long as it will last.

They have no more integrity than Exxon or At&t or the like... liars, cheaters, decievers and crooks..... you can paint it up any way you want.. but the price they get for the quality they put out proves my point and tells the story of who they care about.

What happens to all the dissatisfied customers of WL?..... I guess they come over here or go elsewhere since they are banned if they talk about it over there!... LOL!

They no longer make thier money off repeat customers and word of mouth.... its newbies that don't know better until its too late.

I was almost a sucker by them too once upon a time.... they have a convincing story.. until you start doing your homework and check other places besides WL forums!..... I bet they wish they could ban google laser searches too!

I wonder why they don't seem to have a "companies and reviews" section to talk and share openly about other products?

He thinks you are Dimitry from Laserglow - okay...he KNOWS you are (according to him). I PM'd him when I saw him close that thread on you - and post all the "Dimitry" stuff about you.....telling him that he had made a mistake, etc...he stands by his "truth" as he knows it - so, I guess you are stuck with people that care about you ! I total history can only be tracked from Washington STate to TExas and back as I have visited my son who lives in colorado... but he has really screwed up this time! Oh and before my Son lived in Colorado.... he was in Miami... going to Culinary Arts school.... we visited him there and did a cruise at the same time.
So I think he will see my time there was not more than two weeks...I'm not saying all this to try and prove my integrity to win my place back... I don't want it!

I just want him to know what a prejudgemental screwup he is and the mistake he made... but its too late now!.......

Saying that Senkat, Steve was just like that with me, he was convinced that Dragon lasers had payed me to post about DL. I only started the thread and it went off like wildfire people were posting and buying Dragon lasers like there was no tomorrow  ;D
I've got all the emails from Steve offering me rewards to tell him the truth wether i was a payed up DL man. Talk about paranoid  ;D the geezer is off his head hence i was banned too. Hey.. welcome Freyth!....... You made a much better choice.... I'm not qualified to talk first hand because I own neither.. just based on my extensive research before and after my purchases....... I'm starting to honestly think they are near the bottom of the barrell!

They have "really" dropped thier quality of product and how the take care and "care" about people...... they are only worried about thier own skin.

I know I can be pretty hard on someone if I set my mind to it... but I've been quite nice lately!!!!... my only crime was to mention another product!.. what gives???

Someone actually posted that PCMAG link on LC a few days ago. Sounds like he got a defective evo, just like my current, and previous evo, but to be honest, the review also sounds like one of those people who expect nothing less than a lightsaber - not that WL does anything to warn people they aren't.

The Truth about "Steve" and Wicked Lasers
Feb 03rd 2007 at 07:14:23 1) "Steve Liu" is nothing more than an alias for Chris Tao (Xiao Pei Tao), who started WL a few years ago. If you order from WL, this is usually the name on the customs form. Even the WL trademark is registered by Xiao Pei: (I'm not allowed to post links on the board, but go to USPTO.gov and search trademarks for Wicked Lasers).

2) Chris started by modifying Leadlights and selling on eBay and eventually his own site. He also sold bootleg Abercrombie t-shirts, electric massagers (his dad retails these in a mall in CT, where they're from), and fake Lord of the Rings rings. Chris had a ton of eBay usernames - he had to come up with a lot because of the negative fbs he was getting. Among them: "apricotscrub," "ringwriath," and "aussielazers." Check it out on eBay if you don't believe... most have significant negatives.

3) Chris' username on forums is usually "apricotscrub." One really funny example is on a Mercedes Benz forum where he spammed for his company, posing as a guy who happened to find WL and fall in love with their amazing products: (again, the board won't let me post a link but just Google "apricotscrub wicked lasers" and it's the first result). Isn't this the kind of stuff Steve, er Nexus, er Chris accuses people of doing on lasercommunity all the time? Kind of hypocritical, eh? If you search Google for apricotscrub you'll see that he's uploaded stuff to wikipedia and youtube under that name as well.

4) Chris' original laser products were modified Leadlights. He started in summer '04 but was briefly forced out of business in early 2005 for a couple of reasons. First, he was modifying Leadlights and then returning the broken mods to Leadlight for warranty repair. They stopped selling to him over this. Second, authorities searched his house for overpowered lasers. They found nothing, but it was enough to stop WL for a short while. If you're curious about the volume WL did at the time, he had only purchased 100 lasers from Leadlight and that lasted him from fall '04 through spring '05 when he was temporarily put out of business.

5) Chris moved his business to China where he can legally sell IIIB lasers and he switched to CNI lasers because Leadlight wouldn't sell to him. At various stages he claimed that WL was the manufacturer (you can read "Nexus'" posts on lasercommunity to see these claims) and that WL products were of higher quality than everyone else. Of course, now that DL and some others are selling CNI, WL no longer sells CNI and their products are superior because WL now manufactures their own lasers. Logically the last two sentences will make your head spin a bit, but Chris actually says this with a straight face.

6) At various times since his move to China, Chris has obtained cheap 5mws and passed them off on eBay and Lasercommunity to be Leadlights. Did you notice the absurdly high failure rate on the "Leadlights" he was selling? Have you ever heard of so many Leadlights going bad? This forced Leadlight to make the following statement on their website: (sorry, but again I can't post the link. But go to leadlight.com.tw and click "news" and you'll see the announcement). You can get a cheap-a$$ laser for about $20ea. Of course, Chris posed this as a good deed - selling these Leadlights at cost to his loyal fan-base when in fact he's profiting about $15ea on the fake Leadlights.

7) Chris has really bad grammar. He always puts a dollar sign after the price. He doesn't know that things actually cost, say, $100 instead of 100$. Everyone gives "Steve" credit for being fluent in English but the truth is "Steve" (Chris) is from the USA (CT, to be exact) and doesn't speak Chinese at all.

Chris' biggest asset is his lack of shame. He'll say and do anything to generate sales. This information comes entirely from a few minutes of internet searching and a couple emails with Leadlight. Depending on who you ask, they're usually happy to provide an honest answer.

Psuedo - I agree...the problem is, WL does nothing to discourage the lightsabre myth...their home page is really "flashed up" with the little chickies running around lighting cigarettes, etc - from UNREALISTIC distances - unrealistic, unless you have a 40Watt Labby !!! Any who - The review is biased as is anything else in the world - BUT...(oh yeah - you knew this was coming ! HEHEHE) But, I think it is somewhat believable. If you take his point of view - and kind of read the review from his point of view - you will see that the majority of laser noobs will think the same stuff he did ! And he is correct - there is no documentation stating which way to insert the batts ! Even the $3.00 flashlights at the fleamarket have that !!! Anywho...beating a dead horse, I am sure....I can agree with both sides of the review really - but tend to side more on the authors' side.....

Well you right.. the guy was a total novice.. but when it doesn't even do what was claimed, it takes his letdown and turns it into dispair and mistrust that the product is anything but crap.
I know WL has put out some good lasers, but it seems a very large percentage are defective or at best "not consistent".

With any product... they are much cheaper to make if quality control is not used.

Look at the difference between a VW bug and a mercedes... both get you from point A to B, but one does it with complete reliablitiy, and class...... when it comes to lasers, class is not putting a pretty case around crap electronics and calling it quality with claims of grandure that only a few ever acheive.. "the hand picked ones".

Never said I didn't agree with you on that one. A lot of people cling to the looks of WLs. I can't say they aren't a plus, but when I buy a solid high power laser, thats what I want to be buying. In the past WL had faults, but they were still near the top. As of late, they've only been increasing their faults while other companies have been improving. Still can't discount them as a major player though... (for the present or future). I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens.
