How to adjust size of pics here on the forum?

Without actually making the picture smaller and then uploading it, is there a way to make the image display smaller here on the forum?

normally with html you would simply say <img src="www.LULZ.COM" [highlight]width=640 height=480[/highlight] </img> but here on the forum that doesnt seem to work.

noooooo without actually adjusting the image, how can I adjust it here on LPF? using the image code, isnt there something I can add to adjust it?
for example, you can adjust the size of youtube videos simply by adding "width = 425" inside the media code.
