Jeff, I've been working on that red build for you and I've got a circuit worked out with a IRF510 FET and an LM358 that would work great for this. But, I think I am trying to make this more complicated than it needs to be. Have some ideas of a simpler driver for the 300mW red laser that won't take half the number of parts to work. Just need to set it up and run it on my dummy load with the 14500s we were talking about. Give me a call when you have the time. I know you are dealing with some heavy shit right now, so take care and I will keep you in the loop. ;) Paul

What pain do you get from walking? Is it pain in the joints? or is it a sharp sudden pain deep inside your foot or leg like its in the bone that lasts only several seconds at a time? That's what I have had now for about 5 years, mostly in my right foot and leg. A couple of glasses of wine from time to time may help you. My father had a stroke at my age and also had pain and had to walk with a cane for a long time but he forced himself to walk without a cane and almost recovered but he had a prescription for pain killers but seldom took one. He passed away in 1992, 22 years after he had the stroke. My mother had a stroke in March of 2012 and now gets the same pains in her foot and leg that I do. I used to hike deep in the wilderness for up to 6 days at a time, I have stood in places where few if any have stood before, now I have doubts I would be able to do that again. I hope you recover soon, but don't count on the doctors finding anything, they don't know as much as they would have you believe, they will often even just make up some BS explanation for something they can't explain or find the cause of. Its an unfortunate reality but we all get old, and it happens suddenly before your even expecting it. Best of luck to you and your family.

Try taking Turmeric, it reduces any inflammation, although it can take weeks to start helping. If you don't know what it is just look at the vitamins and supplements and find "Turmeric Curcumin" 500 mg, you can buy it at Walmart and many other stores. It is also a spice and you will always find it in the spice section so if you want you can also add it to your food, it is also one of the ingredients in curry but isn't very spicy by itself. And don't mention to your doctor anything about any supplements you take! Doctors hate such things or any natural non prescription remedies.

Update:

updates on my condition! I have been talking with Jmiller about my condition. many of you know he is a medical professional. He has a friend in neurology that he has been talking to about what is going on with me! he friend is leaning toward a small infarc. or stroke.. This still has to be proven by tests but the thing is it may not ever show up on a CT or MRI which is kind of a bummer but I will keep my faith and my hopes up that I will get better and be able to function at 95% of normal for me... I thank you all for your continuing support

Keep the faith my friend. My mom had a small stroke caused by a clot and not from a bleed. It was caused by a buildup of plaque in her carotid artery in her neck. She had a procedure done to remove the plaque and all is well. That was last year and she had the same symptoms as you but is now at 95% or better for sure! You are still in my prayers my friend!

It's no fun going week after week, month after month trying to figure out what's going on. My wife probably has CT (look it up) but in order to prove it you have to disprove a zillion other things because there's no direct test for it. In other words, you have to rule out everything else to prove it's CT. She has had about 2 years worth of tests and exploratory ops and taking different meds and diets.
I have never ending kidney stone issues with the very unusual problem of having pain from the stones just sitting inside my kidneys. I also have a kidney issue called Medulary Sponge Kidney which is the narrowing of the passages in the kidney so "stuff" doesn't filter out as it should and it's way easier to form stones. 99% of Physicians out there will tell you that it isn't possible to have pain from the stones unless they are blocking a ureter. I have been on pain meds for almost 20 years and the last couple on Fentanyl which is some nasty stuff.
We both continue to work though as we are fighters so it's good to hear you haven't given up on trying to be productive. You stop moving, you start dyeing.
Have been off work for a couple months so far from a shoulder injury and now am awaiting surgery which will likely happen in a few weeks. I refuse to get stressed out about it all as God has always taken care of us in so many ways.
Keep plugging away and TAKE ONE DAY AT A TIME as each day has enough trouble of its own;)

That means a lot to me guys: I appreciate all the advice and words of encouragement! I refuse to give up. I have a long list of medical issues. I am lucky I can still walk from a wrestling accident in high school. It was the coaches fault! making me wrestle our heavy weight when I was only a 135 lbs any way i ended up with spiral fractures of my t-1 though t-3 slipped and rotated two disks. had kidney stones twice. and a long line of other from broken bones and ribs to let just stop right there.. I have not let those things get me down and I refuse to let this one. I do get depressed every so often but it is my faith in god, my family-friends, and you guys on LPF that have kept my spirits were they should be.. While I only know most of you by your screen names and never meet you in person does not make any difference.. We are all joined together by a common bond a love of lasers... I thank you all for your support during this time
