help please !!

i had sold a 6x laser to Arenared on this forum and i got tracking on the 6x laser and i used 2-3 day shipping and the tracking number says


Status: Processed

Your item was processed and left our LOS ANGELES, CA 90052 facility on March 4, 2009. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later

thats near his house i guess and Arenared said that they told him it has been delivered but my ? is wouldnt the tracking info chance and say DELIVERED and not Processed ???

what do u guys think it should say

and im pissed because i did not get paid for the 6x laser   and he said jayrob sent him an item and got sign by another person ??

A couple questions to help me help you.
1. Did you add signature or delivery confirmation to the package?
2. You shipped it by priority mail, correct?
3. The package was being shipped from where and going to where?

From my experience, it sounds like you shipped the laser from the LA area as it says processed and left the LA facility. This is the local hub from where packages for your area depart.

This is the last tracking info you'll see on it until after it's delvered.

What about any delivery or signature confirmation?
Looks like it's sitting the LA facility or at least that's where it was last scanned.
If the package had a signature confirmation on it and no one was there to sign for it, or if the driver didn't feel the package would be safe leaving it at the door, then they would leave a notice to pickup the package at the post office. The package would then just sit at the post office and no update would made to the status until someone picked it up.

I never ship out anything without a signature delivery, so the status always gets updated to delivered at some point, but maybe without any added confirmation, the "processed" status might mean the same as delivered.

To find out for sure, take a printout of the USPS webpage with the tracking info and take it to the post office and ask them. If possible take it to a larger post office (if you're in a good sized city yoiu'll be ok) and ask them about the status, the bigger offices can track packages on their "Intranet" and get more detailed information than can be had over the web.

It will only show "delivered" if the postal worker scanned it when they delivered it. Did you pay online? Did you get delivery confirmation?

paypal shipping is the best way to ship with usps

i took it to my local post office and had it shipped 2-3 days priority with a tracking number listed above but does not say delivered .....but his post office says it is delivered :-?

If it's anything of high replacement value, I would ship it with signature confirmation, that way it only gets delivered if someone signs for it.

As for what to do now, I would have your guy (and you) ask them for information on WHEN it was delivered. It's possible that it was delivered to the wrong address. It's also possible that is was delivered to the correct address, but: 1) someone else at his address got it and didn't tell him 2) if he is in an apartment or office, it could have been delivered to a main office or something 3) it may have been stolen from the mailbox.

And how come you didn't get paid?? Did you send it and then expect payment? Not much you can do there, then.
