I prefer keypads on cellphones, so I tested the high price units from VENUS. (s1000/s2000/t89)

They work great for a normal user, I just advise you the same everyone told me and this apply to all the chinese mobiles.

If you plan to do what a mobile is suposed to do or even a little more it's perfect for you. It will call, send messages, play music very well, the touch screen and the menu just work.

BUT, if you plan to play videos, use it as a multimedia center, a camera or as a PDA then you will get disapointed. The sound quality on the speaker becomes so bad when you go at very high volume (these phones can reach A LOT of volume, it scared me at first). Also, they will freeze if you try to play some HQ videos etc etc. The batterys won't last long while playing games etc, these mobiles are not designed to be used as much as some users do.

I sold them all and the users (who are guys on the 30-40 years old range) are satisfied with them.

Price is acceptable. I have two friends who got the mobile, and the problems are just the same than the ones I alredy stated with the Venus brand.

Ok well, I recieved my Sciphone I68+ yesterday from My Cell Bay
I first would like to mention that I am absolutely amazed at the shipping. From China to Illinois, USA in 3 days to my front door(Free shipping). DX could learn a few things or 2 from this company.:)

Ok now to the phone....Well on a rating of 1 to 10 with 10 being the best.
Quality: 7
Looks: 7
Speed: 2-3
Touch screen: 5
Music playback: 4
Video Playback: 1
Java compatability: 4
Camera: 3
Reception: 6
Speakers: 5
Battery life: 6
Value: 5

Over all: 4-5

This phone doesn't even come close to comparing to a real Iphone. It is however much better than the phone that I was using. I think that this phone will do me just fine for the year that I have to wait before I can renew my contract. When I renew my contract, I will, for sure, buy the newest Iphone 3G S. :)

Get an HTC, they're amazing. Most carriers are coming out with the touch pro 2 if you want it cheap with a subsidy. And hopefully it would accept a windows mobile 7 upgrade

HTC in comparison to an Iphone....Hmmm. I'll go with the Iphone. Iphone = 10 times better. Trust me on this. :)

Get a Nokia N97 - expandable memorey, OLED screen, actual keyboard, better camera, the list goes on.

i have a iPhone 3G, and soon the iPhone 3GS, i love this phone, and i dont think il chance soon. It is really fast, simple, and has everything you want. (if you jailbreak it, it can do even more)

never get a HTC though, they use cheap parts to build the phones, they break easly, and my htc touch diamond got scratches on its touch screen by its own stylus. It aslo got problems sending messages sometimes, and uses alot of power for switching between networks.
i really wont recommend htc.

a friend said he got a iphone knockoff from dx and he said it was really junk. its a gamble unless you hear from someone who has the exact one you might get
