This won't happen in Canada, because there is a precedent preventing it from happening. Internet companies were throttling peoples connections when they were playing certain games and visiting certain sites, and the CRTC rulled that they can't do it. You have to give what they pay for (connection speed) and cannot throttle it at all.

Did not know that.

I thought the CRTC was bloody useless because of the lack of competition in the cellular service.

Lol Sigurther well put mate. I would personally rather not ever be a blip on the gov radar but this kind of company control over the data I can view pisses me off.

I mean this is two steps away from US citizens only being able to see what the gov expressly wants you to see. Truthfinding sites will go down and we will see a large porrion of the population who keep ingesting the shit being fed to them and then a small group of irritable individuals who realize the BS beong presented to them.

That small group will also become the tin foil hat brigade of today. Then the government institutionalizes them for their own good. Being declared mentally unfit, their rights to own weapons are revoked.
