That is a silicon rectifier bridge, faston connections, probably a 15 or 20A one
Yes, mine was a latch from a cd/dvd burner, more specifically, one of the most frequently used in notebook ones (i'm on a low speed line, and also not all the time at pc, sorry for the delays)

It's an adjusting knob, without seeing the other side it's hard to tell.
The bridge rectifier is a 55 amp for a high speed freezer door. It is part of my parts supply on my service truck.
