For get drinkable water from dirt water or ground ? (don't know why, but it's the first thing that come me in mind, looking at it)

Very nice design! Just manufacture some 1000 times that size and put them next to the ocean with solar panels to power a water pump to get sea water. That would create a lot of fresh water. :)

its one peice, the bottom "part" is a reflection obv.

It looks "used", and also, those two vertical slots looks suspiciously similars to tritium vials ..... dimensions ? ..... does it have something to do with carp fishing ?

Nope, thier not vials, its nothing to do with lasers, and its "used" look is how its meant to look.

Well, it's not a thermonuclear hand-grenade (mine at least look different ..... :p :D)

Some sort of "safety/waterproof" capsule to hook to some keychain or similars ? (someone use them for store money or ID informations, i don't know how you can call it in English)

EDIT : dimensions of the object ?

It almost looks like a bullet. I can't imagine that is correct though. Is it actually copper in color, or is that just an issue with the photo? It's hard to tell for sure.

A size reference would really help. It looks like about the shape and size of a handgun bullet, but it clearly is not.

Also.. does the front part come off, or is that just an indentation in the middle (depth of field is insufficient to tell in the pic).

Anyways? size? about 4" long and an inch or 2 in diameter.

Hint, its exterio look is manufactured that way. Its not a weapon or anything.

a kind of special lamp (UV for example) for microscopy or other equipment...
